Miiverse

A new update has been applied on Miiverse today. No major functionality has been added, but there are a trio of changes.

First, for all versions of Miiverse, users can follow/unfollow others directly from the Followers page. Also for all versions, an icon of a screenshot with an X will appear when posting in an area where it’s not possible to attach screenshots. And lastly, the Wii U version of Miiverse now features an icon below posted videos to play them in high quality.

REDMOND, Wash.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– You hear that? That’s the sound of bananas being peeled all around the U.S. to celebrate the glorious launch of Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. The newest game in the lauded Donkey Kong Country series swings to the Wii U system on Feb. 21, bringing with it beautiful high-definition graphics, cleverly designed platforming action and competitive online leaderboards. The game also heralds the exciting return of fan-favorites Dixie Kong and Funky Kong, as well as Cranky Kong, who is a playable character for the first time in series history. The Year of Luigi is finally coming to an end next month. Shigeru Miyamoto posted a message on Miiverse earlier today and confirmed that the festivities will conclude on March 18.

With the year-long event’s end, Nintendo is closing off the Year of Luigi Miiverse Community and its Developers’ Room to new post and comments. Miyamoto is asking fans to leave a few words for Luigi on his post as a means of bringing closure.
