Wii U

Aside from NBA 2K13, Take-Two Interactive hasn’t produced much content for Wii U. That’s unlikely to change in the future.

Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick once again commented on Wii U, telling GamesIndustry:

“We haven’t talked about specific titles in development, but we’ve said our strategy is to meet consumers where they are. If they’re buying hardware, we’ll be there with software. That said, we make these really big, AAA titles that work on some platforms, but not others.”

Zelnick said in June 2012 that he was “skeptical” about Wii U when it comes to core games. Apparently, his mentality hasn’t changed much since then.

Along with the above screenshot, Sakurai passed along the following message via Miiverse:

Pic of the day. It is said that the cosmos is beneath Rosalina’s gown. This was actually featured briefly in her debut video.

Warner Bros. Games Montreal, developer of Batman: Arkham Origins and the Wii U version of Batman: Arkham City, has a new game in the works for Nintendo’s console.

Lead game designer Pierre-Luc Foisy lists an “Unannounced Project” on his LinkedIn profile. Along with Wii U, the title is slated for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.

Given Warner Bros. Montreal’s past, one would think that the project has a chance of being Batman-related. That’s most definitely not confirmed though and is one of many possibilities.

Ubisoft has regained the rights to one of its main Watch Dogs trademarks in the US. Earlier this week, an abandonment request was filed, though the publisher said it was done so fraudulently. The USPTO accepted Ubisoft’s appeal and the trademark has been reinstated under Ubisoft’s control.

At the moment, Natsume doesn’t have any news to share regarding Harvest Moon for Wii U.

Community manager “CeeCee” recently responded to a number of requests for the series to appear on new consoles, most of which specifically mentioned Nintendo’s system. Sadly though, Natsume has “nothing to announce.”

CeeCee’s comments in full:

Unfortunately, there is nothing to announce at this time. The development of games on any specific consoles is very dependent on the install base of that console. The larger the install base, the better chance a unique game like Harvest Moon will do. Thus, we are always watching how each and every console is doing, and waiting for the right opportunity.

Miiverse

On Wii U, Miiverse has received a small update in order to match it more closely with the 3DS version.

The update pertains to two features. First, reloading has been switched from the L button to the Y button. Users can also now use the L/R buttons to quickly move up/down between posts.

Miiverse’s Marty shared the update news in an official post made earlier today:
