Bravely Default II

In anticipation of its release, Square Enix released a demo of Bravely Default II on the eShop in March last year. In a recent interview with Famitsu, producer Masashi Takahashi spoke about the feedback the team received from fans who played it and revealed further improvements that weren’t detailed in the previous feedback video.

Takahashi stated the following, as translated by Nintendo Everything:

Nintendo Switch

We heard earlier this week that Animal Crossing: New Horizons was the best-selling game of 2020 in France. Based on a new report from Le Figaro, a number of other Switch games also did very well.

Nintendo France managing director Philippe Lavoue told the publication that as far as Animal Crossing goes, “families with kids took the relay [in sales] at the start of summer”. The title was “continuously in the top three best video game sellers and still is in this beginning of 2021.”

Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville - Complete Edition

Last June, EA said it would be bringing seven games to Switch over the next year. A few of these titles have already been released – Burnout Paradise Remastered, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered, and FIFA 21 Legacy Edition. Apex Legends and Lost in Random are also coming soon.

That leaves us with two more games. One of the mystery projects should be the upcoming title from Mario Kart Live developer Velan Studios. VentureBeat claimed several months ago that Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville is also happening on Switch, and it now seems we’re getting close to an announcement.

Citizens Unite!: Earth x Space

Citizens Unite!: Earth x Space is heading to Switch later this month. It’ll contain two games: Citizens of Earth and Citizens of Space.

Citizens Unite!: Earth x Space is planned for a worldwide release, but in the west, it’ll be digital-only. That’s in contrast to Japan and Asia, which is also getting a physical version. The good news is that English is supported and those that are interested in owning a boxed copy can import. Play-Asia is taking pre-orders here.

Kemco and Eden Industries will be bringing Citizens Unite!: Earth x Space to Switch on January 28, 2021.

New Pokemon Snap

Just like the original, New Pokemon Snap has a bunch of Pokemon to see and photograph. The game received a blowout of sorts this week and it was revealed this week that over 200 creatures will be included. We don’t have the full list yet, but based on everything shown up to this point, we know of about a quarter of the Pokemon that will be included.

Here’s the lineup thus far in alphabetical order:
