While speaking with Shacknews, Yacht Club’s Sean Velasco discussed the Wii U version of Shovel Knight.
Just two weeks were needed to bring Shovel Knight to the system, according to Velasco. It was done by an engine programmer and the game was ported over completely.
Velasco also shared some of the ideas Yacht Club is thinking about for Shovel Knight on the GamePad:
“We were thinking we could do a bestiary, where you kill a guy and you get to read about him. We were also thinking of doing something that uses the MiiVerse a bit more. We love how in New Super Mario Bros. U, after you die, you’ll see a message after you die. Since our game is room-based, we were thinking that maybe with every room you go to, you could query a Miiverse message from the GamePad.”
This week on Eggbusters: It’s Metroid Prime again! If any game showcases exactly what we love about the way Nintendo makes games, it’s Metroid Prime. Ambitious, tight, focused, and expansive. Mmmmm. Two glitches from that game this week. Enjoy.
