The retro-styled first-person shooter Prodeus has received a final release date on Switch. Publisher Humble Games and developer Bounding Box Software confirmed today that the title will be ready to go on October 28, 2022.

Prodeus originally debuted on October 23. That was the original plan for Switch as well, but there was a last-minute delay. Humble Games mentioned that “the forces of chaos have struck the Nintendo Switch version, and we’ve encountered a pretty gnarly visual bug in the home stretch.”

A few minutes of gameplay have come in for the Switch version of New Tales from the Borderlands. 2K and Gearbox brought out the title late last week.

WayForward is starting to highlight some of the characters in River City Girls 2, and a new trailer has come in that puts the spotlight on Marian.

Marian is among the playable characters included in the game. She has “hard-hitting grapples, brutal boxing techniques, and abs of steel”. Marian actually stems from the Double Dragon series and will now be teaming up with Misako and Kyoko.

NieR: Automata has always shared something of a connection with Switch. When asked by Famitsu what his thoughts were on the system and its reveal presentation in January 2017, director Yoko Taro simply stated his memories vanished once he found out the console, along with Breath of the Wild, were releasing just one week after his game. Launching alongside such a titanic duo didn’t end up holding NieR: Automata back in the end, however, as it was both a critical and commercial success, leading to it becoming one of the most requested Switch ports of the last generation. More than five years later, the game has finally arrived on Nintendo’s platform, and this gripping tale of android vs. machine was certainly worth the wait.

New content is on the way to Mini Motorways as part of a new Endless & Expert update. This will be going live for Switch on November 3, 2022.

The minimalist strategy traffic management sim is adding an Endless Mode and Expert Mode. A number of quality of life improvements are planned as well.

Publisher The Arcade Crew and developer Berzerk Studio today unveiled a brand new playable character for Infernax known as The Stranger. He’s said to be a deadly force to be reckoned with, armed with a shotgun and a multitude of blunt objects capable of producing extremely satisfying levels of gore as you take out your enemies.

Cult of the Lamb players on Switch now have access to a brand new update known as Blood Moon Festival.

A bunch of additional content has been added to the game at no extra cost. There’s a new Blood Moon ritual, new unlocks, new decorations, and new follower forms. It’s also possible to catch ghosts of dead followers.

Nintendo and Intelligent Systems shared more details on Fire Emblem Engage today, and we’ve got a bit of news about weapons and the “Break” feature in battle. Serenes Forest provided a translation of what was shared on social media.

Players will find that every character is capable of using various weapons. Like in other Fire Emblem games, weapons can have advantages or disadvantages against each other so it’s important to choose advantageous weapons when attacking.
