Fire Emblem Heroes is once again hosting a Bound Hero Battle and Summoning Event coinciding with each other for a single day. The Bound Hero Battle features Bartre and Fir,  while the 5-star Summoning Focus features Bartre: Fearless Warrior, Fir: Sword Student, and Karla: Sword Vassal. As usual, the first summon for this event will not cost any orbs. This event will only be active for one day.

New maps have also been added. In Tactics Drills, Destructive Impulses (Grandmaster, Infernal), and in Quad Assault, 36th Assault.

Lastly, the Voting Gauntlet, Swimsuit Dispute, has ended. Byleth has won. Results and details can be viewed here.

Intelligent Systems have rolled out a new update for Fire Emblem Heroes: Version 4.8.0. Here’s a brief overview of what changed:

Bandai Namco today published a new gameplay video for Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions, which showcases the “Musashi Middle School” route in the game’s “Episode of New Hero” story mode. View it below.

Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions is due out for Switch on August 28.

King of Fighters R-2 and Samurai Shodown! 2 (standalone release) are already available for Switch in Japan. For those in the west, fans will be happy to hear that the two titles will be launching tomorrow. They should be going live following the regular eShop update.

The latest issue of Weekly Jump has revealed another DLC character for One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4. Killer is joining the roster, according to the magazine.

Killer should be a part of the next character pack this fall. A third unannounced character should also be included in the pack. We’ll be seeing another DLC pack this winter as well.

Fans may recall that Killer was included in an apparent datamine for the game, which gives credence to the leak. Other rumored characters can be found here.

When Nintendo reported its financial results back in May, sales for Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield were at 17.3 million copies worldwide. That number has since increased to 18.22 million. That makes Pokemon Sword and Shield the highest-selling entry of the last 20 years, and third overall.

The only games to have sold more are Gold/Silver and Red/Green/Blue. They’re at 23.1 million and 31.38 million respectively.

Nintendo today reported its latest financial results for the three-month period. The company has provided more information about how Switch is doing as well as the overall company.

According to a Bloomberg report, Nintendo is increasing its target for Switch production to around 25 million units this fiscal year. That’s based on information gathered from “people familiar with the matter”.

Bloomberg further adds that Nintendo “is asking partners to tack on another few million units”. The goal is for assembly partners plan to work at maximum capacity through December. Bloomberg does warn that the plan could change “by adjusting output in the January-March quarter if demand begins to taper in the coming months, but production partners expect to at least surpass the 22 million units they’d previously been instructed to assemble”.
