If you haven’t enabled 2-step verification on your Nintendo Account, you may want to consider doing so. Recently, a notable amount of Switch owners have claimed that their accounts have been accessed without consent.

The news started to circular after Twitter user Pixelpar said that his account was accessed multiple times from various locations. A quick look at social media indicates that it’s not an isolated incident, as many users have been affected in a similar way. At least a portion of Nintendo Account owners who also set up a PayPal link says funds had been accessed to purchase Fortnite’s VBuck currency.

Nintendo has responded to user reports that their Nintendo Accounts have been accessed without consent.

In a statement, the company said that it is “investigating” the situation. Nintendo also recommends users enable 2-step verification.

The full statement reads:

Back in 1998, Psygnosis and FDI released the action-adventure game O.D.T.: Escape or Die Trying. It was also planned for the N64 at one point, but that version never materialized.

More than two decades later, Piko Interactive has announced that it has acquired the rights to O.D.T.: Escape or Die Trying. Interestingly, that also includes the unreleased N64 version.

Piko hasn’t said what exactly it intends to do with the game moving forward. However, restoring the N64 version is certainly one possibility. Last year, the company restored the N64 edition of 40 Winks, a platformer which was cancelled at the last minute for Nintendo’s old console in 1999.
