A little while ago, we wrote a big list of Shiny Pokemon that will become unobtainable after Pokemon Bank closes. Shiny Deoxys is one such Pokemon, and it’s only obtainable via a limited-time event in Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen for the Game Boy Advance. If you’re looking to catch a Shiny Deoxys for yourself, we’ve put together a guide on how to hunt it prior to Pokemon Bank’s closure.
It’s important to note that Pokemon Bank does not currently have an announced closure date. Online services for Wii U and 3DS are set to end on April 8, but Pokemon Bank’s servers will remain open “until further notice”. That being said, we don’t expect them to be open for much longer than an additional year, if that. If there are any Shiny Pokemon you want to hunt in advance, now’s a great time to start.

You’ll be able to give input when the Splatest is held on February 17. The event will conclude on February 19.
Our coverage of the many, many returning Legendary Pokemon locations in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet continues today with a Virizion location guide. In this game, returning Legendary Pokemon can only be accessed via the Indigo Disk DLC – they’re unavailable for capture in the base game.
Virizion, Terrakion, and Cobalion form the Swords of Justice trio introduced in the Unova games. They’ve also each got Paradox counterparts in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet – Iron Leaves, Iron Boulder, and Iron Crown, respectively. Usually, Pokemon with future Paradox counterparts are exclusive to Pokemon Scarlet. That’s not the case here, though – Virizion, Terrakion, and Cobalion can be found in both versions of the game.
