It’s a special day for Nintendo, as the company launched Switch exactly six years ago. The system released on March 3, 2017.

Not even Nintendo could have predicted the success Switch has seen over the years. Over 120 million units have been sold, making it the second best-selling platform for the Big N (behind DS) and third best across the industry as a whole (the original PlayStation holds the record).

Deadline is reporting that Jonathan Krisel is in negotiations to direct the sequel to the Pokemon Detective Pikachu movie. Chris Galletta will be in charge of the script.

Krisel is known for co-creating, writing, and executive producing Portlandia. He was also the co-creator, director, and writer on Baskets, which appeared on FX. Galletta previously wrote the Kings of Summer.

Islets previously came out on the Switch eShop, but a physical version is now in the works thanks to Super Rare ames.

4,000 copies will be made in total. Each unit contains all current content on its cart at the time of printing, a full-color manual, interior artwork, an exclusive sticker, and trading cards.

Lifeslide, which was previously made available on PC and Apple Arcade, is now heading to Switch. Dreamteck announced today that the version for Nintendo’s console is due out on April 20, 2023.

Lifeslide is a paper plane adventure game in which players players fly a paper plane through seven stages of life. We’ve included further information about it below.

If you’re hoping to play the original Splatoon or Mario Kart 8 games online, you might be out of luck. Servers for both titles have been taken offline and it’s unclear when they’ll return.

Back in December, we reported on the vulnerability known as ENLBufferPwn that affected a number of Nintendo titles. Most games had been fixed, but older ones were not. Mario Kart 8 and the original Splatoon were specifically cited as two Wii U releases that were still being impacted.

Nintendo is gearing up for the next event in Mario Kart Tour, which will be the Mario Tour. This one should start on March 8, 2023.

The Mario Tour features the course DS Mario Circuit. Throughout the track, Goombas and Piranha Plants will try to block your path.

The latest update for Redemption Reapers has been released, bringing the game to version 1.0.3. Whilst this version only adjusts the availability of skirmishes, publisher Binary Haze Interactive have released patch notes for the more extensive version 1.0.4., which is due to be released next week on March 10. Fire Emblem Engage will be getting the third round of its Expansion Pass DLC, Nintendo and Intelligent Systems have announced. This is planned for March 8 in Japan, so that should be March 7 in North America.

The Fire Emblem Engage Expansion Pass Wave 3 DLC will add another round of Emblems and missions to recruit them. These include Chrom and Robin, Emblem of Bonds, and Veronica, Emblem of Heroes.
