Super Nintendo World is the Big N’s take on theme parks – in partnership with Universal of course – but it’s easy to notice how there’s a big focus on Mario. Shigeru Miyamoto has now spoken on that decision.

In an interview with Polygon, Miyamoto did share that other IPs were considered for Super Nintendo World like Splatoon. However, in the end the decision was made “to start with something focused” since “it would be easier”.

Pokemon Unite received its latest update this week, moving the game up to version 1.8.1.7.

This update is largely focused on Comfey, who “has been comprehensively buffed.” There’s also a fix with Sableye and text fixes.

Original (2/14): The news for Splatoon 3 continues, as it’s just been announced that an art book and soundtrack will be released in Japan.

The art book will cover the culture and stages players encounter in the Splatlands plus a look at other elements like weapons and gear, the single-player Hero Mode, Salmon Run, Tableturf Battle, and more. While the art book has only been announced for Japan currently, it’s very possible that a western release will happen later on – we’ll keep an eye out for news on that front.

Publisher HandyGames and developer SandBloom Studio provided an update on De-Exit: Eternal Matters today and also shared a new story trailer.

The title is now confirmed to be launching this spring. We previously reported on the project in October, but a release window wasn’t shared at the time.

You may recall that Bill & Ted’s Excellent Retro Collection was announced for Switch last June. We haven’t heard a peep about it since then, but as it turns out, you can pick it up right now on the eShop. Limited Run Games just dropped it out of nowhere.

The collection includes Bill & Ted’s Excellent Video Game Adventure and Bill & Ted’s Excellent Portable Adventure. These games came out in 1991 for the NES and Game Boy respectively.
