NGDEV, the developer of Razion EX and Gunlord X, just recently released its new shoot ’em up game Gunvein that’s inspired by arcade titles from Cave, Taito, and Raizing/8ing. We know that a Switch version is planned, and will likely be debuting in 2023.
Gunvein provides a dynamic bullet hell experience. Players will need to use the lock-on and charged energy blast mechanics to take down enemies. Additionally, there are ways to power up your shot and bombs can be used to clear out the screen. Increasing your score will provide extra lives and currency for the in-game shop.
Rumors of a more powerful Switch – often dubbed by fans as the Switch Pro – have persisted for years. The thought was that Nintendo would come out with a new piece of hardware that isn’t quite a successor, but would be a step up from what we have now. Presumably this theoretical device would allow for things such as technical improvements when it comes to aspects like frame rate and resolution and perhaps even better visuals.
Digital Foundry’s John Linneman has now weighed in on the situation in the outlet’s latest podcast. After speaking with some developers, he believes Nintendo was at once point toying around with a Switch hardware refresh. However, “that seems to no longer be happening” and the company is apparently pursuing a true successor instead.
Nintendo has updated the Japanese release schedule on its platforms for the week of January 5, 2023. Here’s a look at the upcoming digital download schedule:
2022 is almost over, but not before the reveal and release of a final Pokemon Build-A-Bear plush for Sylveon.
Those looking to place an immediate order can do so by purchasing the online bundle. For those in North America, you can grab it here. Those in the UK can place an order here. Sylveon can also be found in stores starting on January 5, 2023.
Studio Drydock has issued a big “Endless Seasons and Romanced” update for Wylde Flowers. This is the first round of additional content for the game.
There are a number of highlights here with players preparing for a festival. They can advance training with the coven and take over as Keeper of the Wheel, with the power and responsibility to change the seasons at will. If players have married someone from Fairhaven or Ravenwood, there’ll now be more spouse dialogue and romantic dates.
Below are the full patch notes:
Original (12/15): A bunch of updates have been announced for Pokemon Unite, including the addition of Dragapult, Battle Pass Season 13, prizes and gifts, and more. This comes as The Pokemon Company confirms that the game has been downloaded over 100 million times globally.
Here’s what’s in store:
Super Smash Bros. director Masahiro Sakurai recently spoke with Denfaminicogamer in an interview, and mentioned that he’s “semi-retired.”
Sakurai was participating in the interview largely to speak about his recent YouTube channel. However, he also took a few moments to reflect on his past and future.
For the latest Fire Emblem Engage character introduction, we have a look at Lapis. This is thanks to the official Japanese Twitter account with SatsumaFS sharing translations.
Lapis, a royal soldier of Brodia and Alcryst’s retainer, is said to be friendly and kind. She has trained to hunt for survival. Although she looks meek, she is stronger than average.
A new survival RPG is planned for Switch, with publisher Crytivo and developer Eli Segal confirming Wanderlost for the console. The two sides have not shared a release window just yet.
Despite being a survival RPG, Wanderlost is actually set “set against the backdrop of an adorable and pixelated post-apocalyptic world.” Players will take on the role of a survivor as they explore the ruins of old-America.
