On Wii U, Activision is making Skylanders SuperChargers. It’s the next core entry in the Skylanders series with gameplay that is similar to the other versions.

Activision has something different in store for Skylanders on 3DS and Wii. Today, the publisher properly unveiled “Skylanders SuperChargers Racing”. This is a dedicated racing combat game with new tracks, power-ups, boosts, hazards, and more. In the 3DS version, players can experience 4-player online and local races.

Skylanders SuperChargers Racing include Bowser and his Sky vehicle, Clown Cruiser. These can also be used on Wii U. By twisting the figure’s base, the figure becomes an amiibo.

Here’s the full breakdown:

Premium Shows are another example of how Activision and FreeStyleGames are bringing great new content to Guitar Hero Live. Whether it be playable concert footage, debut music videos and beyond, Premium Shows will give players a unique way to access some amazing gameplay experiences.

By completing various challenges, players will have a chance to play these Premium Shows to win in-game prizes based on the level of difficulty of the show. These prizes can include unique exclusive Note Highways or custom Player Cards that fans can use to show off to the Guitar Hero Live online community. It can also include Status rewards that help players level up faster or boosts that speed up the accumulation of in-game currency.

Toys “R” Us put up a message on its Twitter account today indicating that it will be selling the Dark Hammer Slam Bowser figure later in the week. Moreover, this tweet was a suggestion of the retailer being the exclusive retailer for the Skylanders/amiibo. Unfortunately, it’s created a big misunderstanding.

Toys “R” Us will not be selling the standalone Dark Hammer Slam Bowser figure. Rather, pre-orders will be opening for the Skylanders SuperChargers Dark Edition, which will in fact be exclusive to Toys “R” Us. That makes sense given how Activision previously said that the Dark Edition figures would only be made available through Starter Packs. It’s still a stinky situation since, ultimately, the only way to obtain Dark Hammer Slam Bowser is by purchasing the Dark Edition Starter Pack for Wii at Toys “R” Us.

In November, Activision will publish the “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Master Splinter’s Training Pack” for 3DS. This includes two games – Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Danger of the Ooze. Amazon lists a $29.99 price point.

The boxart for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Master Splinter’s Training Pack is strange. It kind of reminds me of this:

Family Gamer TV has posted a new video showing off the Skylanders SuperChargers Dark Edition. View it below.

Activision has made The Peanuts Movie: Snoopy’s Grand Adventure official. The side-scrolling exploration platformer game is coming to both Wii U and 3DS on November 3.

Here’s the official overview:

In The Peanuts Movie: Snoopy’s Grand Adventure, Snoopy explores the fantastical worlds of his imagination to track down Charlie Brown and his friends in an intricate game of hide-and-seek. As he follows their trails, Snoopy will acquire new costumes (based on his many alter egos) that provide unique abilities for overcoming obstacles and reaching new levels, including flight stages that let him take off as the Flying Ace. From the jungle to Paris to the moon itself, each environment is painted gorgeously in the same visual style as The Peanuts Movie to bring to life every colorful detail of Snoopy’s wild daydreams. The game also includes voice talent from the film.

The Peanuts Movie: Snoopy’s Grand Adventure challenges curiosities of any age with comfortable, pick-up-and-go controls and plenty of lighthearted surprises to discover. A second player can join the adventure as Woodstock to aid Snoopy by distracting creatures, opening new paths and helping locate hidden collectibles..

With Guitar Hero Live set to make an appearance at San Diego Comic-Con in just a few days, Activision and FreeStyleGames are showing off the game’s Hero Powers.

Here’s the official overview:

If you remember Star Power from previous games in the franchise, Hero Powers in Guitar Hero Live are a lot like that, only much cooler. Hero Powers can be used in GHTV to give you power-ups that affect different areas of gameplay. You can activate a Hero Power to boost your score while playing solo, or to give you a competitive edge during multiplayer. They are activated by the familiar tilt of the guitar, or you can just hit the Hero Power button directly on the guitar controller.

Higher scores allow you to earn even more rewards and level up faster.

Take a look at the gallery below for screenshots of Guitar Hero Live’s Hero Powers along with a fact sheet with additional information.
