We knew that another round of Persona Q DLC was coming today and new screenshots reveal that it looks to be another batch of announcer DLC, this time for Nanako and Marie from Persona 4 / Golden. Each character will be priced the same as the previous DLC announcers, 600 yen a piece.

A specific western release date for Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth hasn’t been officially announced yet, but the game seems to be coming out in November.

In North America, retailers like Amazon list a November 25 release date. Meanwhile, the newly opened NIS America Europe (take that in for as second) online store lists a November 28 date.

So as of now, both North America and Europe appear to be getting Persona Q in later November.

In an interview with Famitsu, Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth chief producer Katsura Hashino explained how the 3DS game came to be.

It all started with an interest in working on a new collaboration title following Persona 4 Arena. Hashino said they were aware of fans who had hoped to see the Persona series on 3DS and “felt the need to respond to that”.

Hashino’s comments in full:

“We were able to make the series’ first fighting game with Persona 4 Arena in collaboration with the folks at Arc System Works, and we also felt the desire to work on another fun collaboration. …while we were making Etrian Odyssey games and many other Atlus games for the 3DS, [we were reminded about] all the voices from fans who’ve been wanting to see a new game from the Persona series for the 3DS, and we felt the need to respond to that, and that’s how the plans of a collaboration within Atlus came to be.”

Etrian Odyssey

A new Etrian Odyssey game could be on the way, based on a newly opened teaser site from Atlus. You can find the page here.

On the site, Atlus included a picture of a giant tree and the title, “This is not broccoli #ATLUS.” The tree and font both seem like they could be connected to Etrian Odyssey. We should find out in a few days!

Atlus has given Shin Megami Tensei IV a major discount on the North American 3DS eShop. It’s currently available for just $25 – a great sale considering the original $50 price tag. The discount will last through June 30.

Thanks to Jake for the tip.

Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth took the top spot on the latest Japanese charts having sold nearly 187,000 units. Last week, the game sold through 80.64 percent of its initial shipment. Persona Q is clearly resonating with Japanese fans thus far.
