Dragon Ball FighterZ update 1.31

Dragon Ball FighterZ started to distribute a new 1.31 update on most platforms last week, though not on Switch. Thankfully, after a short delay, everyone on Nintendo’s console can access it as well.

The new update is all about balance adjustments. There are a ton of changes to sift through across the board for the game’s characters.

Below are the full patch notes for the Dragon Ball FighterZ version 1.31 update:

Dragon Ball The Breakers Bulma Oolong

Dragon Ball: The Breakers is doing something quite different for the franchise since it has you playing as “Survivors” like Bulma and Oolong or the “Raiders”, which include Cell, Frieza, and Kid Buu. Typically the Dragon Ball titles we’ve seen recap the series in an arena brawler or RPG format. The Breakers, however, is an asymmetrical action game where the Raiders try to hunt down the Survivors.

With such a different take on Dragon Ball games, it’s perhaps not a surprise that there was some uncertainty within the team initially. Producer Ryosuke Hara said in a recent interview that “the point was raised that fans might not want to play as comparatively weak characters like Bulma or Oolong.” In the end though, everyone “came around to liking the idea and gave us the go-ahead.”

Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series has started to release on Switch, and Bandai Namco has issued a new launch trailer. This shows off both titles in the collection, Klonoa: Door to Phantomile and Klonoa 2: Lunatea’s Veil.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Vegeta GT

Bandai Namco has set a release date for the Conton City Vote Pack in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, the game’s latest DLC. Fans will be able to get their hands on it starting July 7, 2022. Note that an update will be going live the day before that.

New playable characters, extra missions, parallel quests, skills, costumes, and more are planned. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 previously revealed Dyspo and Goku (Ultra Instinct -Sign-), but we now know that Vegeta (GT) is on the way as well. He’s focused on strikes and close-ranged attacks, so he’s a bit different than previous versions of the character.

Here’s a rundown of his moves:
