DLC

Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 received DLC in Japan this week. It’s planned for North America and Europe as well. In a blog post, Inti Creates said it’s targeting January for Azure Striker Gunvolt 2’s DLC.

A demo was also supposed to go live in North America on Thursday, but it wasn’t mentioned in the official Nintendo Download announcement. I’m also not seeing anything on the eShop itself, so there must have been some sort of miscommunication. In any case, Azure Striker Gunvolt’s 2 demo should be out sometime in January.

Lastly, the Azure Striker Gunvolt New Year’s wallpaper pictured above can be downloaded here.

Minecraft: Wii U Edition is celebrating its first anniversary with more DLC. Players can access the 1st Birthday Skin Pack. For a look at the DLC, watch the video below.

Minecraft: Wii U Edition will soon be adding some new DLC based on Fallout, Bethesda’s post-apocalyptic RPG franchise. Mojang announced the new DLC today and also shared first details about what’s included.

Here’s the lowdown:

“Working in the depths of their bunker complex, our artists and builders have been busy blasting Minecraft’s glorious overworld into an irradiated wasteland fit for Fallout fans to wander. Friendly cows, gently sauteed in the light of a thousand suns, have now sprouted second heads, while the familiar supersized spiders have made way for other overgrown arachnids, who scuttle through the dark wielding brutal stingers.

These are not the only mobs to get a little bit melty. Lurking in the shadow of the series’ familiar landmarks – like the Capitol building or Tenpenny Tower – are ghouls, mutants and madmen of many kinds. Vault Dwellers beware: you may be S.P.E.C.I.A.L., but the wasteland is a very dangerous place indeed.

The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ has already been teased for Switch once, and now it seems that Nicalis has done so once again.

Fans have found a secret message from the company’s Tyrone Rodriguez. After putting together the first words of several tweets, it states that the game is heading to Switch next spring.

Perhaps Nicalis will be more open to talking about The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ for Switch after the big unveiling event in January.

The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth launched for Wii U last summer. The situation surrounding DLC expansions has been hazy, but now we can say for sure that the new content, Afterbirth+, will not be on the eShop.

That being said, we may have another case of a developer moving things over to Switch. A new post on the official Binding of Isaac website notes that Afterbirth+ will be on “PlayStation 4, Xbox One and one more console.” Wii U and PlayStation Vita were then ruled out. Since this console isn’t mentioned by name and we know of a new one on the horizon – specifically Switch – it’s very possible that The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth and Afterbirth+ will end up on the platform.
