Apex Legends

EA and Respawn have published an official release date announcement for Apex Legends on Switch, which is slated for March 9. It comes with the confirmation that Panic Button was involved with the port.

Panic Button most recently ported Doom Eternal to Switch. The company has handled a number of other ports for the system as well.

Apex Legends

We’re still waiting to hear when exactly Apex Legends is landing on Switch, but a new wireless controller based on the game is arriving very soon. In fact, it’s popped up on Amazon with a February 3 release date – that would be tomorrow.

Here’s the official product description for the controller, which is made by PowerA:

Mass Effect Legendary Edition

EA and BioWare are bringing back the Mass Effect trilogy with Mass Effect Legendary Edition. While there’s no news on a Switch version at present, it’s something that hasn’t been ruled out entirely.

Mac Walters, the project director of the Legendary Edition, told Eurogamer:

Walters said:

Apex Legends

Apex Legends could be just a couple of weeks away from launching on Switch. In the game’s latest Japanese trailer, the YouTube description mentioned that the Switch release is planned for February 2. However, it has since been removed, and there was no mention of the news in other languages.

It’s possible that the date is spot on, though there’s also a chance that it was incorrect. Thankfully, February 2 isn’t too far away, so we should know for sure either way soon enough.

Apex Legends was originally planned to arrive on Switch last fall. It was later delayed to 2021.

Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville - Complete Edition

Last June, EA said it would be bringing seven games to Switch over the next year. A few of these titles have already been released – Burnout Paradise Remastered, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered, and FIFA 21 Legacy Edition. Apex Legends and Lost in Random are also coming soon.

That leaves us with two more games. One of the mystery projects should be the upcoming title from Mario Kart Live developer Velan Studios. VentureBeat claimed several months ago that Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville is also happening on Switch, and it now seems we’re getting close to an announcement.

Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered

EA has issued a new 1.0.2 update for the Switch version of Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered. It contains lots of adjustments, improvements, and fixes pertaining to audio, lobbies, stability, and more.

Here are the full patch notes:

Quantic Dream and Jo-Mei Games are bringing Sea of Solitude to Switch, the two companies announced today. A release is planned for March 4, 2021.

Rather than a simple port, the team has reworked the game. There will be a new script, new voices, new Photo Mode, and gyroscopic support.

Here’s an overview of Sea of Solitude, along with a trailer:
