Pokemon Sword/Shield

As revealed today by Nintendo’s financial results, Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield have sold over 20 million units. In doing so, they’ve become the first entries since Pokemon Gold and Pokemon Silver to reach that mark. Sword and Shield have currently sold 23.73 million copies.

Sword and Shield should eventually overtake Gold and Silver as the second best-selling Pokemon games of all time. Red/Blue/Green would be more difficult to surpass as those titles have collectively sold 31.38 million copies.

The latest Max Raid Battle event has gone live in Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield.

The Fighting-type Pokemon Machamp, Lucario, and Falinks are more likely to appear. The same goes for the Psychic-type Pokemon Gothitelle, Reuniclus, and Orbeetle. If you’re lucky enough, you may encounter Gigantamax Machamp or Gigantamax Orbeetle.

During the latest episode of Japanese variety show Oha Suta, a special Max Raid Battle event was announced for Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield.

To celebrate Pokemon the Movie: Secrets of the Jungle, Cramorant and other creatures will be featured. Players have a chance to earn a variety of items, with the conditions as follows:

Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield have kicked off the latest Max Raid Battle event.

Players are more likely to encounter Tauros, Miltank, and Bouffalant. And if they’re lucky enough, a Shiny Tauros may appear.

According to a report from Centro Pokemon, remakes based on Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl are currently in development for Switch. The two games are apparently planned for a 2021 release.

Centro Pokemon mentions that the remakes will not be in the style of Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu / Eevee, so expect something more along the likes of Sword/Shield. The site adds that a reveal is planned for February.

Pokemon Sword and Shield is hosting a new Max Raid Battle event. Skwovet is the primary creature featured this time around, and you may even encounter a Shiny Skwovet or Greedent.

That’s not all though. There will be an increased number of Cherubi, Amoonguss, and Shiinotic. Berries will be plentiful as well.

The latest Max Raid Battle event has gone live in Pokemon Sword and Shield. It features a couple of Gigatamax Pokemon and more.

The Pokemon Company has teamed up with the International Space Station for a live stream on New Year’s Eve. To celebrate the event, Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield players can now obtain a special Pikachu.

The Pikachu has the moves Thunderbolt, Swift, Wish, and Celebrate. It’s also holding a Comet Shard.

Follow the steps below for the distribution:

Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield have just kicked off an extra Max Raid Battle event. Players will not be more likely to encounter Jynx, Delibird, Chandelure, and Frosmoth. Additionally, if you’re lucky enough, Alolan Vulpix may appear.

To participate in this new event, connect your Switch system to the internet. After this, when you see a pillar of light shining from a Pokemon Den in the Wild Area, walk up to it and interact to kick off a Max Raid Battle.

The latest Pokemon Sword/Shield event will be live until December 27 at 3:59 PM PT / 6:59 PM ET.

Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield have both been updated. Version 1.3.1 is available, which addresses some bugs/issues.

Major updates for Pokemon Sword/Shield have likely wrapped up at this point. Version 1.3.0 dropped towards the end of October, and it included support for The Crown Tundra expansion and additional Pokemon.

2021 will mark the 25th anniversary of Pokemon, and news regarding plans for the celebration will be shared in the future. Previously-announced titles include New Pokemon Snap, Pokemon Unite, and a new Detective Pikachu.
