GameStop

An internal notice from GameStop provides some insight into the retailer’s handling of amiibo figures.

Regarding wave 2, Diddy Kong, Zelda, and Little Mac should be released over the next few days. However, Luigi, Pit, and Captain Falcon “have experienced a shipping delay and will not be available until late December.” Pre-orders for all wave 2 figures are now closed.

We’re also seeing more talk of discontinuations for wave 1 amiibo. Marth, Villager, and Wii Fit Trainer appear to be gone – as expected.

Karissa was thought to have taken down several top Smash Bros. players, but we quickly learned that the entire thing was likely staged.

We now have definitive proof that the event was nothing more than a stunt done by GameStop. I won’t spoil the “secret” of how the store managed to pull it off – just watch the video below!

GameStop’s Black Friday 2014 ad has gone live.

Unfortunately, there aren’t a whole lot of notable deals here. You can save $10 on Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric… but you’d probably be better off not buying the game at all.

In any case, you can find the Nintendo-related items from GameStop’s Black Friday ad above.
