We have another lengthy video of Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia showing the game in English. Get a look at 19 minutes of gameplay below.

Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia launched in Japan on April 20. During its first four days on the market, it sold about 132,000 copies. Media Create and Dengeki now have more information about the game’s performance.

Media Create points out that Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia sold less than half of Fates (304,000 from Birthright, Conquest, and the Special Edition combined), and sales are still not enough if compared to individual Fates SKUs. Therefore, Echoes is thought to be unable to include many of the new users coming from Fire Emblem Fates and Fire Emblem Heroes. However, when compared as a remake, New Mystery of the Emblem which came out for DS in July 2010 sold 136,000 copies in its first week, so it’s able to maintain the veteran fanbase.

As for Dengeki, the site says Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia sold through 80 percent of its initial shipment. The site says the title managed to cut through a favorable start.

Earlier today, the special Fire Emblem Heroes livestream called FEH Channel aired on Youtube, and it contained a wealth of new information. A post on the Fire Emblem Heroes subreddit has provided an excellent summary for everything that was revealed.

Some time was devoted to the Hero Fest event, which is now live. What’s coming next to the game is a lot more interesting however. The next Grand Hero Battle will feature the Nohrian prince Xander. Xander will come with his unique weapon Siegfried (16 Mt, allows him to counterattack at any range) as well as the skills Blazing Light, Armored Blow and Spur Defense.

Head past the break for more info on upcoming content, such as the next Voting Gauntlet and new game mechanics.

A new event has gone live in Fire Emblem Heroes – the Hero Fest. Until May 8th, everyone will receive 2 orbs as a special daily login. Also, until May 7th, SP received in battle is doubled.

The big draw for this event, however, is the new summoning focus. Not only are the featured characters some of the strongest currently in the game (Hector, Takumi, Azura and Ryoma) but the base chance for getting a 5-star character on this focus is 5%, instead of the usual 3%.

Fire Emblem Heroes recently received an update which included the World of Radiance maps and characters. Check out some footage of these new maps below.

Nintendo has started to take action against those who have been using Fire Emblem Heroes inappropriately. Countermeasures are now in place to put any and all end to cheating.

Nintendo may temporarily limit access to certain features. Additionally, players are warned that they could be banned from using the app entirely. This would result in losing all save data, including orbs.

The full notice from Nintendo is as follows:

Several new videos are live for Fire Emblem Echoes showing the game’s English build. The full set is attached below.

Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia is a remake of Fire Emblem Gaiden, the Japan-exclusive Famicom title. Using that “Echoes” name may not just be a one-time thing.

A new developer quote (probably from Nintendo Dream or another similar Japanese magazine) has one representative from Intelligent Systems saying that “Echoes” would probably be used again with another Fire Emblem make – if one were to be made.

The person stated:

“We put a lot of thought into a title like ‘echoes’ that can let older games ‘echo’ with the modern players. We were very pleased with it, and, if there were to be more remakes, we would likely use the “ECHOES” title again.”

Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia launched in Japan last week. It’s due out on May 19 in North America and Europe.

Thanks to Brian for the tip.
