Nintendo Direct

If things had gone as planned, a new Nintendo Direct would have aired this week. Mother Nature decided otherwise, however. Following a major earthquake in Japan, Nintendo decided it would be best to push back the presentation to an unspecified date after it was previously scheduled for Thursday.

Usually Nintendo Directs have a short turnaround between their official announcement and actual broadcast. So because of the delay, we’re in a bit of a unique situation. Some possible news that may have been planned for the Nintendo Direct has come out early, including a Mega Man 11 demo, Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition HD, and Civilization VI. This period of uncertainly also leaves the door open to speculation.

What’s everyone hoping for and predicting will happen during the Nintendo Direct? Aside from Mega Man 11 demo, Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition HD, and Civilization VI, we’re also likely going to hear about Yoshi for Switch after the final name seemingly leaked. Smash Bros. Ultimate is also certainly a lock, as is Luigi’s Mansion on 3DS. Any other hopes or predictions? Let us know in the comments below.

A new Nintendo Direct was originally planned for later today. However, due to an earthquake in Japan, the presentation has been postponed.

Nintendo hasn’t provided a new date for the broadcast just yet. However, there’s an indication that we can now expect it next week.

Because of a major earthquake in Hokkaido, Japan, Nintendo decided to delay the recently announced Nintendo Direct. Stay tuned for when a new date is announced.

In what has essentially become a tradition at this point, Nintendo NY will be hosting a viewing event for the Nintendo Direct taking place tomorrow. Fans can stop by and watch the presentation with others on the store’s 15-foot screen.

The new Nintendo Direct kicks off at 6 PM ET. Games for Switch and 3DS will be shown, and announcements are planned.

Following up on speculation regarding a new Nintendo Direct, Nintendo itself has now announced the presentation. As was rumored, the presentation will be hosted tomorrow.

The broadcast will go live at the following times:

Speculation is now circulating that a Nintendo Direct will be airing very soon – in fact, possibly tomorrow. The presentation is rumored for 4 PM PT (September 6) / 7 PM ET (September 6) / 12 AM in the UK (September 7) / 1 AM in Europe (September 7).

Information about the Nintendo Direct appears to come from indie sources, indicating that we’d probably see an indie game or two during the broadcast. The rumor also stems from sources who accurately helped to predict Nintendo of Europe’s Indie Highlights video a few hours before it went live last month. Stay tuned.

Nintendo has just provided a notable update on its mobile game Draglia Lost. The game will launch in the United States, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau on September 27.

Additionally, a Nintendo Direct will be held tomorrow. Times are as follows:

Gamescom 2018 is upon us, and that means a slew of new game announcements. It seems like Nintendo intends to get the ball rolling early this year as there might be a new indie-focused Nintendo Direct about to air.

Earlier today, we reported that the launch of Morphie’s Law on Nintendo Switch might be imminent. A couple of hours later, the game’s official Twitter account sent out the following tweet:

What’s really interesting is that they weren’t the only indie developers/publishers teasing an announcement for 14:00 CEST today. There’s also FDG Entertainment, who released Blossom Tales and Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom:

The makers of puzzle game Baba Is You, which currently isn’t announced for Switch, also teased something for 14:00 CEST:

Of course, the perfect place to bundle so many indie game announcements would be a Nintendo Direct. The folks over at Nintendo Life claim that, according to “close sources of Nintendo Life”, a Nintendo Direct is indeed happening at that time.

As always, take rumors like these with a grain of salt as obviously nothing is set in stone yet, despite quite a few hints. Also, it’s probably best to temper your expectations and don’t expect any major first-party Nintendo news to come out of this. Either way, we should know for sure very soon.
