With a day to go until launch, Nintendo has lifted the review embargo on Octopath Traveler. We’ve rounded up some of the early verdicts below.

With just a couple of days until launch, Square Enix sent out another batch of Octopath Traveler details and screenshots. The latest update covers battle jobs, secret jobs, and party chat. Everything has been rounded up below, courtesy of Gematsu.

YouTuber ProJared visited the Nintendo of America offices to get a hands-on preview of Octopath Traveler. Among other things, we learned that you can toggle between Japanese and English voices throughout the game. You can watch ProJared’s video below.

The North American Octopath Traveler website is now open. You can find Nintendo’s site for the Switch RPG here.

Some of the pages haven’t gone live yet, but there’s still plenty to see. The site houses a few different videos, information about the playable characters, and more.

At Japan Expo earlier today, producer Masashi Takahashi and composer Yasunori Nishiki stopped by for a special session. Four new jobs were revealed at the event.

Switch has a big, exclusive RPG launching in July. Of course, we’re referring to Octopath Traveler. Despite being a couple of weeks off, you can experience a big chunk of the game as we speak. During E3, Nintendo and Square Enix added a new demo to the eShop that lets you play through three full hours.

We’re only two weeks away from the release of Octopath Traveler on Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo and Square Enix are ramping up their advertisement campaign for the game. Below is a new 15-second Japanese commercial:

Nintendo published the first North American commercial for the Switch RPG Octopath Traveler. We’ve attached the advert below.

These days, many games receive DLC at or after launch. In the case of Octopath Traveler, there won’t be anything on that front. Producer Masashi Takahashi, in an interview with Dengeki Online, said that the game is complete as is – hence why there’s no need for DLC.
