In a new video published today, Nintendo revealed the best-selling indie games of 2020 on Switch. A number of heavy hitters are present, including Hades, Streets of Rage 4, Ori and the Will of the Wisps, Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin, Bloostained: Curse of the Moon 2, and more.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is known for its prominence on the sales charts. Despite being an upgraded version of the Wii U game, it’s the best-selling title on Switch. Nearly 30 million copies have been sold worldwide.

We also have an interested statistic coming out of the UK. In terms of boxed copies, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe actually sold more in 2020 than it did in 2019. The game has also sold better and better each year since it debuted in 2017.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy

As part of the latest Capcom leaks, sales data for Okami HD was disclosed. Figures for each platform were revealed, which showed that the Switch version sold the best.

More Capcom sales information has since leaked for three other releases: Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy, Dragon’s Dogma, and Onimusha: Warlords’ HD version. Here’s a look at the performance for these titles:

Nintendo Switch

Just like in the United States, November proved to be a successful month for Switch in Canada. Data from the NPD Group reveals that the system’s sales came in at 148,000 units during the month. Switch has been the best-selling console in Canada for 25 consecutive months.

This year, Switch has sold 790,000 units in Canada so far. The system surpassed in eleven months the total number of systems sold in all of 2019 by over 162,000 units.

Original (12/13): This week’s UK software sales are in, and there are a couple of interesting Nintendo-related tidbits.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons has seen its sales increase every week for more than a month. This week, the game went up 8 percent. It is expected to finish 2020 as the second biggest boxed game.

Immortals Fenyx Rising fell from #11 to #17. However, sales only decreased by 45 percent week-on-week. The Switch version also sold the best this past week, and that Switch edition is now the most popular version overall.
