Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles confirmed for Switch in the west

The Switch version of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles, which was first announced last week, has now been confirmed for the west. North America and Europe will be getting the game on June 10, 2022.
According to SEGA, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles on Switch contains everything found on other platforms, including all the post-launch content added such as the six new playable characters – Rui, Akaza, Susamaru, Yahaba, Enmu, and Yushiro & Tamayo, new online missions that reward Kimetsu Points to unlock additional rewards, and all the balance changes made to the combat.

Super Monkey Ball Adventure director reflects on the game

One of the more unique entries in the Monkey Ball franchise was Super Monkey Ball Adventure. Rather than the arcade puzzle platforming the series is largely known for, the GameCube title focused on story and navigating the 3D world. It was also made by Traveller’s Tales rather than SEGA / Amusement Vision.
15 years after its release, director Paul Gardner has now reflected on Super Monkey Ball Adventure in an interview with Retro Gamer. Speaking with the magazine about the game’s reception, he said:

Entire Sonic voice cast is returning for Sonic Frontiers

During a “Sonic Official” live stream earlier today, SEGA shared a tiny bit of extra information about Sonic Frontiers – including news regarding the game’s voice cast.
According to social media specialist Justin Thormann, the entire Sonic voice cast is returning for the upcoming Switch title. That means fans can expect to hear Roger Craig Smith as Sonic, Colleen O’Shaughnessey as Tails (who will also be playing the same role in the Sonic the Hedgehog 2 movie), Cindy Robinson as Amy, and Mike Pollock as Dr. Eggman.

Original (12/11): SEGA has shared more information about Sonic Frontiers – including confirmation that writer Ian Flynn is on board.
At The Game Awards 2021 this week, SEGA finally shared a proper unveiling for the game. It had been teased earlier in the year with practically no information. But a new video finally gave fans a first look as to what they can expect from the project.

Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania dev on the game’s guest characters

Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania went all out with guest characters. SEGA itself included some stars from its various franchises like Sonic the Hedgehog and Kazuma Kiryu from Kazuya, but the team also stepped outside of the box with some unexpected additions. The game includes Morgana from Persona 5, Suezo from Monster Rancher, and Hello Kitty as DLC.

At The Game Awards 2021 today, SEGA provided an update on the next mainline 3D Sonic the Hedgehog game – which now has a confirmed name of Sonic Frontiers. The title will launch for Switch in Holiday 2022.
Of the new project, SEGA teases: “An experience like never before, accelerate to new heights and experience the thrill of high velocity, open-zone freedom.” The action will take place in an area known as Starfall Islands, which features “dense forests, overflowing waterfalls, sizzling deserts and more”.

Super Monkey Ball dev wants to make a new game

Masao Shirosaki, the director of Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania, has expressed interest in making a new game in the series.
SEGA has started to do more with the franchise in recent years. It started in 2019 with a remaster of the Wii game Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz, with an HD version releasing on Switch in 2019. We then just saw Banana Mania, which was based on Super Monkey Ball, Super Monkey Ball 2 and Super Monkey Ball Deluxe.
