Yesterday saw the quiet release of Football Manager 2022 Touch on Switch. It just launched as a digital download, so you can grab it from the eShop.
The management sim has brought back the traditional gameplay the series is known for, but with enhancements and upgrades. Sports Interactive says it “boasts improved integration between the Joy-Con controllers and the game’s user interface to make working your way across the game even easier.” UI has also been redone. The game now features News Effects, the Data Hub, improvements to the 3D match engine, an expanded Transfer Deadline Day, and more.
Here’s some additional information about Football Manager 2022 Touch:
New trademarks include Sonic Frontiers from SEGA, Y School Heroes from Level-5
Posted on 3 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch | 0 comments
Trademarks aren’t typically as newsworthy as most make them out to be, but a couple of interesting filings recently popped up that we thought were worth sharing.
First up is Sonic Frontiers from SEGA, which was filed in Japan. We know that the company has a new Sonic title coming up in 2022, and this may very well be the name of the project. SEGA announced the new game back in May, but other than a very short teaser trailer that didn’t show much at all, the company has been keeping quiet. It goes without saying that we’ll be hearing more once 2021 is finished.
We’ll also mention that Y School Heroes has received a trademark in the United States. Level-5 made the first filing in July, though it was properly made public in October. There’s been no announcements currently, but we can’t help wonder if Yo-kai Watch Jam: Yo-kai Academy Y – Waiwai Gakuen Seikatsu is being considered for localization in the west. It originally released in Japan back in August 2020, but there’s been no word on any sort of English release.
Thanks to Greatsong1 for the tip.

Super Monkey Ball and Yakuza creator Toshihiro Nagoshi leaving SEGA along with Daisuke Sato
Posted on 3 years ago by Bryce(@brodee922) in General Gaming, News | 0 comments
Two senior members of SEGA are leaving the company – Toshihiro Nagoshi and Daisuke Sato. The development studio behind the Yakuza series, Ryu Ga Gotoku, announced the departure of Nagoshi and Sato in a statement about the company’s future.
Toshihiro Nagoshi is the creator of the Yakuza and Super Monkey Ball series, and in the company’s statement they say that there was a time where “‘Ryu Ga Gotoku’ was basically synonymous with ‘Toshihiro Nagoshi.'” However, Nagoshi is moving on and leaving not only his development studio but also SEGA in general. The reason for his departure is not given in the press release, nor is what he will do next, but he isn’t the only one leaving the company.
Daisuke Sato, a senior producer and designer (also the Executive Manager of Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD), is leaving the company with Nagoshi. He also did not list a reason for leaving, but he has served as head of Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio for over 9 years. He says that he is confident that the studio will thrive without him, and that he is grateful to the fans that supported him and their games for so long.
Check out the company’s full statement here as well as extended comments by Daisuke Sato and Toshihiro Nagoshi.

[Review] Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania
Posted on 3 years ago by Nicholas Serpa in Reviews, Switch | 0 comments
System: Switch
Release date: October 5, 2021
Developer: SEGA
Publisher: SEGA
I experienced a wide range of conflicting emotions while playing Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania. I often caught myself laughing, usually after successfully guiding my expressive, energetic monkey across a particularly gauntlet-esque stage with only seconds to spare. Just as often I found myself sighing or yelling “nonononoooo,” typically as my encapsulated simian plummeted off a platform to its doom… again. But no matter how well I was doing (or not) at playing Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania, I was almost always having a wonderful time – and considering that this remaster contains stages and minigames from three of what may be the best games in the franchise, I expect I’ll be doing so for a long time.
