Pokemon Day 2025 has come and gone, and with it, the latest Pokemon Presents broadcast. As usual, fans were treated to the latest news about the franchise.

We’ll focus on two of the biggest things here. First, Pokemon Legends: Z-A was properly unveiled following last year’s announcement, complete with gameplay and detailed information. Pokemon Champions was announced, which will be coming to Nintendo Switch (and mobile) at some point in the future. While these were the bigger items, updates on a variety of other topics were shared. You can get the full recap here.

Now that we’re a few days removed from Pokemon Presents, what did you think of it? How are you feeling about Pokemon Legends: Z-A and Pokemon Champions? Let us know in the comments.

Nintendo Switch Online game removed Super Soccer

February 27: Nintendo Switch Online hasn’t removed a game from the service before, but that’s now happening with Super Soccer.

On social media, it was announced that the title is being pulled on March 28. Once that date passes, the game will no longer be accessible. Nintendo did not provide a reason for the removal – it could be rights related or something else entirely.

June 20: Gex Trilogy, which was previously announced for Switch last year, just resurfaced. A trailer for the game was shown during LRG3 2024.

Gex Trilogy will not only include multiple games, but some new features like the ability to rewind and save at any point. Here’s the official description:

A year after it was announced, Pokemon Legends Z-A has finally reemerged. The game was just highlighted on Pokemon Presents 2025, an annual showcase that celebrates the franchise’s anniversary with the latest news and announcements.

Chikorita, Tepig, Totodile are the starters this time. Wild zones set up that give Pokémon habitats where they can thrive. Catching Pokemon works similarly to how things were in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. However, there’s a new style of battling – moves can have a shorter or longer reach as well as a different area of effect. Also, as previously teased, Mega Evolution is included.

Pokemon Champions

During a Pokemon Presents presentation today, a brand new game was announced titled Pokemon Champions. It will be available on Nintendo Switch and mobile via iOS and Android.

Pokemon Champions is a new battle-focused game. Connectivity is supported with Pokemon Home, meaning you’ll be able to team up with creatures who’ve joined you in previous titles.

It’s time for the newest North American Nintendo Download report for the week of February 27, 2025. The latest releases on the Nintendo eShop include Glover, Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection, and more.

Pokemon Presents 2025 live stream

With the Pokemon Presents 2025 presentation happening later today, we’re putting up this post to share the official live stream. The event begins at 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET / 2 PM in the UK / 3 PM in Europe.

Pokemon Presents always happens on Pokemon Day, which celebrates the series’ anniversary. There’s no word on what will be shown, but fans should have a pretty good idea on what to expect. Pokemon Legends: Z-A, which was announced exactly a year ago, should receive a substantial update today – among other things such as the latest on currently available mobile / live service titles. Will there be any surprises? That remains to be seen.
