Nintendo just started distribution of the latest Switch update, and version 18.1.0 is rolling out now.
It was previously announced that the system would be losing X integration. With today’s update, that has been removed. It affects the Album, Smash World on the Switch Online app, and Splatoon 2 are affected. Additionally, Nintendo also removed the ability to link social media accounts in “Friend Suggestions” entirely.
Also, it wouldn’t be complete without stability improvements. Nintendo says that’s included as well.
Here’s the full rundown of the update:

[Rapid Review] Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door
Posted on 9 months ago by Elias in Reviews, Switch | 0 comments
System: Switch
Release date: May 23, 2024
Developer: Intelligent Systems
Publisher: Nintendo
Switch has proven itself quite the bastion for turn-based RPGs, but the GameCube of over two decades ago didn’t get quite the same treatment. Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door was one of just a handful of games where the eager adventurer could whet their appetite for grinding battles to level up, collecting money, and adding to their item stash at every new town. Now with a fresh coat of paint and a host of new features, is the title worth returning to after two decades?

Nintendo was hesitant on the E3 reveal for Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle with Miyamoto
Posted on 9 months ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch | 0 comments
Many would say that the official announcement of Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle will go down as one of the best E3 reveals. There was a lot of skepticism going into the show (and early leaks didn’t help), but Ubisoft quickly eased concerns about these two franchises coming together.
Ubisoft started out its Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle E3 segment by bringing Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto to the stage as a surprise appearance, who talked a bit about the game. He also had some fun with Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot – the two wielded Blasters and put a lighthearted spin on the announcement. That was a good moment, but it was actually something Nintendo was hesitant to do, feeling it should be “more serious” according to Leon Winkler, who’s been running Ubisoft’s E3 shows.
