Koei Tecmo has revealed the lineup of games it’ll be bringing to TGS this year – and there are quite a few Switch games on the list, including two of the publisher’s biggest upcoming games, Fire Emblem Warriors and Atelier Lydie & Suelle. Here’s the full range of titles of Koei Tecmo’s website (thanks to Siliconera for the translation).

The next character to join the Fire Emblem Warriors roster has been revealed: Elise from Fire Emblem Fates. Check out the trailer below, which shows her in action:

We’ve actually already known about the next new weapon coming to Splatoon 2 for a while. Announced during a special video released during Gamescom, the Forge Splattershot Pro will be the first weapon that uses the new Bubble Blower Special. It also comes with the Suction Bomb sub-weapon. Otherwise, it’s exactly the same as the regular Splattershot Pro.

The weapon will be available from Sheldon later today (North America) / early tomorrow morning (Europe) / tomorrow at midday (Australia and Japan). Just in time for the Splatfest!

Shovel Knight on 3DS has just received a new update. Patch 3.2 fixes a glitch that caused the game to crash when changing costumes or using the Bomb Burst ability when playing as Custom Knight. Some other minor bugs were also fixed.

Currently, the update is only live in Europe, but Yacht Club Games promised that it’ll be available on North American 3DS systems soon as well.

Fire Emblem Heroes’ latest summoning event, the long-awaited Choose Your Legends banner, is sure to draw a lot of attention. It seems like Nintendo agrees, since they went out of their way and released a live-action commercial for it, featuring Ike, Lucina, Roy, Lyn and even the fan favorite Black Knight, who sadly isn’t in the game yet. Check it out:

Legendary Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu is holding a 24-hour livestream on Niconico starting this Thursday, August 31st, at 7 PM JST to celebrate its 1,500th issue going on sale. Journalists, developers and voice actors will be present to talk about the magazine’s history, play games and more. The livestream will also feature upcoming games – and among those is Fire Emblem Warriors. The game’s official Twitter account has revealed that during the stream’s opening segment, new information about Fire Emblem Warriors will be revealed.

Despite the game’s Japanese release date being only one month away, there’s still quite a lot we don’t know about it. We still haven’t met any of the game’s Shadow Dragon characters other than Marth, the amiibo functionality is still unknown and the game’s Coliseum mode also hasn’t been talked about a whole lot. Either way, there’s plenty that could be revealed during the stream. If you have a Niconico account, you’ll be able to watch it live here.

A support system has been a staple feature of Fire Emblem games for a long while now. However, it has been absent from the series’ recent mobile release, Fire Emblem Heroes. It seems like that might be changing soon though. The game’s latest update has been datamined, and among other things, such as the stats of the Choose Your Legends heroes, the update also contains the following line:

MID_TIPS_0018: Strengthen your allies through\nAlly Support! Allies who are\npartnered up will gain a stat\nboost when they fight near\neach other.\n\nYou can find Ally Support\nunder Advanced Growth in the\nAllies menu.

So far, this is just a tip that can appear on a loading screen and apparently nothing else about this supposed support system has been found in the game’s files, so don’t count on it being actually available in the game soon. Still, it’ll be interesting to see how Intelligent Systems will actually implement it in a game with so many characters.

Miiverse

Earlier today, Nintendo announced that Miiverse will be ending service on November 8th. You may be wondering what this means for games that heavily use this feature, such as Smash Bros and Splatoon, or why the service is shutting down in the first place. Nintendo of America has put up an FAQ on their website that answers some of those questions. We’ve put the whole thing below:
