Splatoon 2 file size; smaller than initial listing from two months ago
Posted on 7 years ago by Matt(@OnePunchMaz) in News, Switch eShop | 3 Comments
Two months ago, we reported that Splatoon 2 will have a file size of 5.5 GB, based off of a listing on Amazon Japan. Today, the Splatoon 2 page on the European Switch eShop was updated, and it now displays a file size of 3.1 GB. It’s safe to assume that this size is probably more accurate than the one on Amazon. It’s unlikely that language differences account for that much of a difference so Nintendo probably managed to compress the game’s files quite a lot in the last two months.

Tatsumi Kimishima’s approval rating is at 97.70 %, up more than 10 % from last year

Nintendo held its annual shareholder meeting last week; during and after this meeting, a variety of information is published about the current state of the company. Among those is the shareholder approval rating for the five directors that were elected to the company’s Board of Directors. Their approval ratings are as follows:
– Tatsumi Kimishima: 97.70 %
– Shigeru Miyamoto: 97.59 %
– Shinya Takahashi: 97.65 %
– Shuntaro Furukawa: 97.65 %
– Ko Shiota: 97.65 %
For comparison’s sake, president Tatsumi Kimishima’s approval rating last year was 87.14 %, meaning his approval among shareholders has risen by more than 1o % in the last year. Clearly the shareholders are happy with the way Kimishima has been running the company – and the Switch’s successful launch clearly didn’t hurt either.

Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney rated for Nintendo 3DS in South Korea
Posted on 7 years ago by Matt(@OnePunchMaz) in 3DS, News | 2 Comments
Some unexpected news on the Ace Attorney front today: the South Korean media ratings board has rated Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney for Nintendo 3DS. This would suggest that a port of the DS game is going to be released on the 3DS. The game was ported to iOS and Android devices in December 2016 and received higher resolution graphics in the process, so it’s possible that the 3DS version would be based on that one.
Of course, this is not an official announcement just yet, but in most cases a game being rated by an age rating agency is indicative of an upcoming release. We will keep you updated.
