Kid Kirby

A fresh set of details have emerged about Kid Kirby, a game that was once planned for the SNES.

DMA Design, the studio that went on to become Rockstar North and a primary developer of the Grand Theft Auto series, was put in charge of the project. It would have featured the SNES Mouse add-on with players using the device to launch Kirby through levels. Unfortunately, Nintendo ended up scrapping the project after development failed to properly progress, and the SNES Mouse was far from a sales success.

The Galactic Junkers now has a release date, and the game is just a couple of weeks away. Publisher Green Man Gaming Publishing and developer Evil Twin Artworks have confirmed that the comedic action-adventure space combat title will be available for Switch on June 30, 2022.

The Galactic Junkers was only just revealed for Switch last month. It was given a general 2022 release window at the time.

Commandos 3 HD Remaster

Today, publisher Kalypso Media and developer ­­­Raylight Games announced Commandos 3 HD Remaster. The full high-definition revamp of the third instalment in the real-time tactics series will be available on Switch this September.

Little League World Series Baseball 2022

Another baseball title is on the way to Switch, as publisher GameMill Entertainment and developer IguanaBee today unveiled Little League World Series Baseball 2022. It’ll be available this August – a specific date will be shared soon.

Publisher NIS America and developer Acquire have determined a western release date for Kamiwaza: Way of the Thief, the remastered version of the PlayStation 2 stealth action title that’s seeing its first English release. In North America, it’ll be out on October 11, 2022. The European launch will follow on October 14.

According to the latest NPD report, Switch led all hardware platforms in both units and dollars in the United States last month. Additionally, the system is the market-leading platform in hardware units sold year to date. Xbox Series saw the highest dollar sales in the period.

Not only is Nintendo still experiencing strong hardware sales with Switch, but high software sales as well. In the latest sales chart, Nintendo Switch Sports was the third best-selling title in May. A number of Switch games were also sprinkled throughout the top 20, including Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Mario Kart 8, Pokemon Legends: Arceus, and more.

Little Witch Nobeta gameplay video

Publisher Justdan International, along with developers Pupuya Games and SimonCreative, are showing off the 3D action adventure title Little Witch Nobeta with a new gameplay video with ten minutes of footage. Emily Rogers, who is known for sharing Nintendo rumors, made a new post on gaming forum Famiboards yesterday regarding supposed details for a new Fire Emblem game on Switch.

The juiciest tidbit is that the title has apparently been finished for over a year. While it was originally planned to celebrate the series’ 30th anniversary, Nintendo ended up holding on to the game for a later date.
