Roundguard

The roguelike puzzler Roundguard has received a new update. Version 1.2.0, known as “The Gift Giver” update, adds a snowy new event, treasures, and three new characters.

Here are some additional details about the update plus a trailer:

As we reported earlier this week, Olija is gearing up for release on January 28, 2021. A new trailer for the action-adventure game has now come in – see it below.

Olija will be distributed digitally for Switch via the eShop.

ININ Games, Studio Artdink, and Strictly Limited Games are going all out for the physical versions of Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World. Aside from a standard release, three special editions are planned.

Here’s the rundown as to what’s included:

Resident Evil 4

Resident Evil 4 is on a ton of different platforms now, but that wasn’t always the case. Originally, it was created only for the GameCube. A big part of that was due to director Shinji Mikami.

Mikami signed an exclusive deal with Nintendo before Resident Evil 4’s launch. In an interview with Variety, he explained that the partnership came about due to concern for the gaming industry. Mikami had concerns that if the gaming endeavors from Sony’s PlayStation and Microsoft’s Xbox didn’t work out, “they might just go back to what they’re good at and what they’re known for.”

Mikami added:

Pumpkin Jack

The 3D platformer Jumpkin Jack has received a new 1.4.4 patch. It’s known as the “Christmas” update, adding a new outfit which when worn makes it snow, various decorative elements in the levels (like snowmen), and five festive gifts in each level to collect. If you find them all, something special will be unlocked.

Here’s a trailer for the update:

Touhou Luna Nights

This week’s North American Nintendo Downloads are as follows:

A few hours ago, the Bravely Default II Final Demo released on the Switch eShop. Take a look at some footage in the video below.

Bravely Default II is due out for Switch on February 26, 2021.

Space Crew

Curve Digital and Runner Duck have announced a new 1.2 update for Space Crew, the strategic simulation game.

It’ll include the following:

Super Baby 2 previously appeared in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. The character is now joining Dragon Ball FighterZ as the game’s next DLC character, according to the latest issue of V Jump.

Outside of the Super Baby 2 news, V Jump also confirms that Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 has surpassed six million units between worldwide shipments and digital sales. To celebrate, players will be able to get their hands on Gogeta SSGSS and Bardock (Super Saiyan) lobby avatars as well as a new Vegeta color variation.

Super Baby 2 will be available in Dragon Ball FighterZ this winter.
