Thanks to Kickstarter, Zero Infinite Games has achieved successful funding for Into the Eternal, an upcoming action RPG that’s intended to be a spiritual successor to Zelda II. It will launch on Switch sometime in 2021.

Nintendo president says “Switch production situation has now completely recovered”

You may recall that, earlier in the year, Nintendo had significant issues with Switch production. The lack of stock ultimately made it very difficult for consumers to purchase the system for a significant period. Thankfully, the situation has been resolved.
Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa said in a conference call today that the situation regarding Switch production “has now completely recovered and we have no issues with that.” Aside from making consoles in China and Vietnam, small volumes are also now being put together in Malaysia.
Furukawa also said: “The Switch hardware momentum remains strong, and we think that’s because production has recovered so customers who were previously unable to find a Switch on store shelves are now able to.”

Pikmin 3 Deluxe has series’ best debut in Japan

Pikmin 3 Deluxe debuted last week, and Famitsu reported initial sales of 171,349 copies in Japan. That amount actually makes the Switch release the series’ best debut in the country so far. The next closest is Pikmin 2, which sold 162,000 copies on GameCube in its first week back in 2004.
