Deadly Days

Publisher Assemble Entertainment and developer Pixelsplit Games have set a release date for Deadly Days, an over-the-top 8-bit-style zombie shooter. It’ll be out in just a few days – specifically August 27.

Deadly Days previously carried a vague summer release window on Switch.

Onirike

Today, Badland Publishing announced that it is partnering with Devilish Games to bring Onirike to Switch. The 3D puzzle-platformer/adventure title is planned for release in Q1 2020.

Nacon is giving Tennis World Tour another shot with a sequel, and has moved development over to Big Ant Studios. The game, which was previously announced for Switch, has started to pop up at retailers. Amazon now has a listing and has offered a look at the boxart – see it above.

You can pre-order Tennis World Tour 2 on Amazon here. The game is currently on track to launch sometime in September.

Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time

With a few days remaining until release, we have another look at Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time. In the videos below, you can get a closer look at some early skills and abilities that can be unlocked towards the beginning of the game as well as some advanced techniques.

Switch will be getting Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time on August 21.

Ikaruga

Nicalis has provided an update on the physical version of Ikaruga. In the west, the game is arriving on October 27.

The physical edition comes with the following extras:

New Mario controllers are on the way from PowerA and HORI.

First up is the “Golden M” enhanced wired controller. It comes with “a 3.5mm audio jack, mappable advanced gaming buttons, and standard ergonomic layout.”

Splatoon 2

Nintendo has confirmed that the next Splatoon 2 update will be going live later today. Version 5.3.0 includes a number of weapon adjustments.

Update (8/17): The listing has now been pulled from Amazon UK. What that means at present is unclear.


Original (8/16): Could The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword be coming to Switch? Amazon UK at least seems to think it could be happening. A listing for the game has now popped up on the retailer’s website.

Civilization VI

A new August 2020 update has been announced for Civilization VI, which will be available to all players. It features the Natural Wonder picker (customize which Natural Wonders will/won’t show up), a Tech and Civics Shuffle mode that randomizes your path forward on the Tech and Civics trees, and more.
