Double Cross

Double Cross, the newest game from Runbow developer 13AM Games, isn’t too far off. As we learned during the Kinda Funny Games Showcase today, a launch is planned for January.

Away: Journey to the Unexpected is wrapping up development, and a release date has been announced. During the Kinda Funny Games Showcase, it was revealed that it’ll be out on February 7 via the eShop.

A trio of games were announced for physical release during the Kinda Funny Games Showcase today.

First up, the recent shoot ’em up Rival Megagun is going physical. Meanwhile, Limited Run Games is preparing physical copies of Windjammers and Celeste. The latter two titles will be up for pre-order on December 21 and January 1 respectively.


The Messenger is receiving a new Picnic Panic expansion, Devolver Digital and Sabotage announced during the Kinda Funny Games Showcase. The DLC will arrive next year – and it’ll be entirely free.

Super Meat Boy Forever

During the Kinda Funny Games Showcase, a few upcoming indie titles for Switch were given release dates. These include YIIK, At Sundown, and Super Meat Boy Forever.

Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime was in attendance at The Game Awards where Nintendo unveiled Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s first DLC pack character. After the show ended, IGN caught up with the executive to talk about what fans can expect regarding future additional content in the future.

If you didn’t have your fill of game announcements from The Game Awards, you’ll be happy to hear that there’s even more to come from the Kinda Funny Games Showcase. Over 60 titles will be featured during the event. Not all of them will be Nintendo-related, but we do know that projects such as Double Cross and YIIK will be showing up here. Companies like NIS America are also teasing announcements.

The Kinda Funny Games Showcase will begin at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM in the UK / 7 PM in Europe. You can watch the stream as it happens below. We’ll report back with any important news with fresh posts on the site.
