Splatoon 2 update out now (version 4.6.1)

Splatoon 2’s latest update has gone live, and it’s a bit of an interesting one. In case you’re curious, the new version is 4.6.1.
Nintendo’s patch notes state: “Made fixes to the data scheduled for an upcoming release.” And that’s it. Nothing else beyond that, so we’ll be left wondering what that means for the future.

Disney+ streaming service targeted for Switch

During an investor stream, it was just announced that the Disney+ streaming service is coming to consoles. While PlayStation 4 appears to be the only confirmed platform at present, the image above refers to platforms they “want to be on”.
Disney+ is expected to launch sometime this year. It will house TV and film content from the company as well as brand new shows and more.

Super Rare Games has announced a new lineup of physical releases on Switch. RIVE, Toki Tori, The Darkside Detective, Earthlock, and Wulverblade will all be offered on cartridges in the future. The Toki Tori physical release bundles both titles together.
Super Rare Games has not yet confirmed release windows at this time. We’ll keep you updated as we hear more.

Super Neptunia RPG delayed to this summer in the west

Super Neptunia RPG has been hit with another delay. The game will now launch this summer in North America and Europe, Idea Factory has announced.
Originally, Super Neptunia RPG was planned for last fall in overseas regions. It was then delayed to this spring. We’re hoping that this will be the final delay for the game.
Gal Metal – Bonus Tracks Vol. 1 DLC out now for free, more songs on the way

XSEED Games has announced that Bonus Tracks Vol. 1 DLC is out now for Gal Metal. Five free tracks are included: Show und Monotone, Roma Romance, Inokashira Rothbart, Symphonic 5, and Kichijoji Resistance.
All of these songs can be found on the Switch eShop as separate downloads for the digital version of Gal Metal and the physical “World Tour Edition”. Those who own the physical release can download the DLC by searching for “Gal Metal World Tour Edition” on the eShop or Nintendo product page.
XSEED has also confirmed that an additional set of five free DLC songs are planned. However, a specific release date was not announced.

Mortal Kombat 11 Premium Edition contents detailed

Nintendo’s website has provided full details on the Mortal Kombat 11 Premium Edition.
Players will be given 13 pieces of DLC that will be released gradually over time. New characters, skins, and gear are included. Furthermore, early access to all of the content will be provided.
Nintendo Switch Parental Controls app update out now (version 1.8.0)

The Nintendo Switch Parental Controls app has received its newest update since last November. Version 1.8.0 is out now on both iOS and Android.
According to Nintendo, the update addresses changes to the Software Rating Organizations used for content restrictions and other features. Bug fixes have also been implemented.

Nintendo Labo VR Kit has a neat little Virtual Boy Easter egg tucked away inside its software. If you visit the software’s videos section, you can watch a brief video showing the classic hardware and even a bit of Mario Tennis.
