Earlier this month, we heard that Bethesda is at least considering the possibility of putting Rage 2 on Switch. The company’s Pete Hines has commented on the situation further in a new interview.

Hines indicated that it could be difficult to bring Rage 2 to Switch since the game is built with Avalanche Studios’ engine. Whether or not it “could ever work on the Switch” is still unknown.

Detective Pikachu

Detective Pikachu will be the very first, official live-action Pokemon movie. Yet even though Ash Ketchum has largely been associated with the series thanks to the anime, the film will feature a different character instead.

When asked by IGN why Ash Ketchum isn’t in the movie, director Rob Letterman explained:

Nintendo is back at it again, teasing the latest villagers for Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. We have silhouettes of two more characters above.

No word yet on when these villagers will be going live, but expect to see them within the next few days. We’ll give you the heads up when they’ve been officially added.

Developers of Starlink: Battle for Atlas have often explained how the Star Fox collaboration came to be. After the game was first shown at last year’s E3, executives and developers from Nintendo ended up seeing it behind closed doors. Nintendo obviously liked what it saw, as the Starlink team was invited to Japan to pitch a potential collaboration.

Creative director Laurent Malville told Kotaku UK that as far as he’s aware, the collaboration was Nintendo’s idea. He also spoke about what it was like pitching the potential partnership to Nintendo and Shigeru Miyamoto:

Flyhigh Works has announced its next Flyhigh Express presentation. No stream links or specific times are available just yet, but the latest broadcast will be held on September 1.

The previous Flyhigh Express was held on August 11. A few announcements were made, including a new action adventure game from the developer of Kamiko. Although announcements can vary by broadcast, we’ll likely hear about a new thing or two for Switch.

The latest summoning focus is up and running in Fire Emblem Heroes. For the latest event, a trio of Heroes with HP recover skills are available. The first time you summon, Orbs aren’t required.

You can participate in the latest summoning focus until September 6.

XSEED announced this week that Senran Kagura Reflexions will make the jump to the North American Switch eShop on September 13. The publisher also just hosted a live stream to end the week, the recording of which we have below.

BlobCat

BlobCat has its first update on Switch. Version 1.1 was issued to all players this week.

First up, the patch implements fixes for puzzle 4-12 and multiplayer level kitchen 2. The developer also added two new multiplayer levels and Finnish support.

Western 1849 Reloaded

Nawia Games will release Western 1849 Reloaded on Switch next week, a listing on the North American eShop reveals. The arcade shooter is on track for August 29.
