Nicalis

Since Switch launched last year, Nicalis has been on a roll with Switch support. The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+, Cave Story+, Tiny Barbarian DX, Ittle Dew 2+, VVVVVV, and The End is Nigh have all come out for the system. A number of other titles are in the pipeline, including Blade Strangers and Code of Princess EX.

Also announced this week is a partnership with Treasure to bring Ikaruga to Switch later this month. Apparently they have even more in store, as Nicalis says next week will be “full of new and exciting surprises”.

Octo Expansion won’t be arriving until this summer. However, thanks to some hacking, they’ve been added in early. Though not entirely complete, a pair of videos show both the male and female versions of the Octolings. You can find both below.

ARMS graphic novel

Last October, Dark Horse announced a partnership with Nintendo to produce graphic novels based on ARMS. At the time, it was originally set to debut sometime this fall. Those plans have since been delayed.

Fans were able to pick up the special short story for ARMS as part of Free Comic Book Day yesterday. It advertises the first true graphic novel, which is now apparently due in January 2019. It’s unclear what caused the delay, but hopefully the wait will be worth it.

Gal*Gun 2

Gal*Gun 2 recently launched in North America. Very quickly, buyers of the physical version noticed a strange misprint. We’re still not quite sure how it happened, but artwork for Natsume’s Wild Guns Reloaded was included inside the case. PQube is only stating that it was a “printer’s error”.

If you were one of the people affected, you can order a replacement cover. PQube has created a form for consumers to fill out here. Once submitted, you’ll be sent a new cover for free.

New footage has emerged from the pinball adventure game Yoku’s Island Express. Watch 11 minutes of gameplay below.
