Nekopara was announced for Switch at the Taipei Game Show last weekend. Neko Works has since shared the news officially, and provided a couple of extra tidbits of information.

When Nekopara lands on Switch, some new elements will be included. The team is preparing a new theme song, more CG, and new episodes. Also teased are other extras that we’ll be hearing about later.

Nekopara will release in Japan in Q3 2018.

Owlboy

A bunch of different games can now be pre-loaded on the North American Switch eShop. These include:

– Owlboy
– Bayonetta
– Bayonetta 2
– Mercenaries Saga Chronicles
– TorqueL: Physics Modified Edition
– Typoman


This week, Japanese publication Nikkei conducted an interview with Nintendo president Tatsumi Kimishima. The two sides discussed a number of different topics.

One of the first things discussed is how Nintendo is looking to support Switch in the long term. “We want to continue selling this console for more than 5-6 years (the usual lifetime for a new game console),” Kimishima said. By expanding sales with continuing to provide new ways to play in the second year and beyond, they could see Switch exceeding Wii which sold 100 million units in six years.

At an event in New York City, a select group of people were invited to try out Nintendo Labo. Nintendo has now passed along a few photos from the event. We have them below, along with descriptions of each image.

The next Splatfest in Splatoon 2 has been announced for Europe, and it’s certainly an interesting one.

Nintendo is posing a food-related question this time around. The company wants to know, do you find gherkins in burgers to be disgusting or delicious?

Players will be able to battle for the side they choose starting on February 10 at 3 PM, lasting for a full day. We should have the results soon after the event ends.
