Atlus explains why Shin Megami Tensei V is being made for Switch
Posted on 7 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch | 33 Comments
Atlus announced a new Shin Megami Tensei game for Switch way back in January. Then after many months of silence, the project resurfaced yesterday, and it was confirmed that the title is in fact Shin Megami Tensei V.
In this week’s Famitsu, it’s explained that Atlus decided to make Shin Megami Tensei V for Switch due to its playstyles. Players will be able to enjoy the story in HD on a television while also experiencing the game in portable or tabletop mode to put in the grind to level up and fuse demons at the comfort of your own bed.
Famitsu also confirms that Kazuyuki Yamai is leading the development team on Shin Megami Tensei V. He was previously the director of Shin Megami Tensei IV. Famitsu also notes that the concept is to look back and reflect on the characteristics of the times.

We spoke with developer PolyKid just ahead of the launch to learn more about Poi. The studio chatted with us about the game itself, making the move from Wii U to Switch, and having to go up against Super Mario Odyssey in the same week.

Target hosting B2G1 sale starting October 29, Switch not included
Posted on 7 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News, Wii U | 2 Comments
Target tends to hold a “buy 2, get 1 free” deal around the holidays. This weekend, the offer will be back once again, but with a notable exception.
Target’s sale officially starts on October 29. Almost every game is eligible – except for Switch. None of the console’s titles will be included. On the bright side, 3DS will be represented here, and presumably Wii U as well. An early flier highlights Pokemon, Super Mario Maker, and Smash Bros.
The sale should last through November 4.
Nintendo Everything turns 10

I can hardly believe that I’m writing this, but Nintendo Everything is now ten years old. We first opened our doors way back on October 23, 2007. 10 years is a long time to be doing anything. In the age of the internet especially, it practically feels like we’re a dinosaur at this point.
