Idea Factory made a number of new announcements at Anime Expo 2023, highlighted by the Switch version of Neptunia Game Maker R:Evolution.
While Neptunia Game Maker R:Evolution was previously revealed for the platform, this is the first time we’re hearing about localization. It will be available in 2024.
Also planned are My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! – Pirates of the Disturbance (slated for Winter 2023) and Sympathy Kiss (planned for early 2024).

Madshot, fast-paced rogue-lite shooter, coming to Switch

Madshot has been in Early Access for PC players, but it’s now gearing up for its proper launch and Switch is being brought into the mix. Hook and Overflow will be putting it out on July 18, 2023.
Madshot is a fast-paced rogue-lite shooter that tasks players with surviving the ever-changing road through Cthulhu and beyond. The game has endless upgrade combinations, horrific monsters to fight, and multi-phased boss battles.

Capcom on decision to bring back Ghost Trick and how fans helped make it happen

In an interview with Famitsu this week, original Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective director Shu Takumi and new producer Shingo Izumi discussed how the game’s recent return came to be.
You might be interested to learn that fans played a pretty big role in making the re-release possible. Aside from a petition that gained notable traction, Izuma said the title “ranked first on a list of games fans wanted remakes of, far ahead of the game in second place.” Yuki Kaji, who played Phoenix Wright in the Ace Attorney anime, also told Takumi at one point about how the mobile version no longer worked. That prompted Takumi to reach out to original producer Hironobu Takeshita, which “really became the start of everything.”

Zelda’s top devs not worried about getting stuck working on the series

As the director and producer respectively, Hidemaro Fujibayashi and Eiji Aonuma are two of the most important people working on the Zelda series currently and they recently finished up Tears of the Kingdom as director and producer respectively. Both have been involved with the franchise for decades at this point. Fujibayashi started out with Zelda: Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages in 2001 while Aonuma has been around even longer – specifically in 1998 with Ocarina of Time.
Fujibayashi and Aonuma, speaking with RTL Nieuws, were recently asked if they’re afraid of getting “stuck” in the sense that they only continue to work on Zelda games. However, both don’t seem to view it that way.
