Yet another photo has landed on the Japanese Splatoon Twitter account. This time around, we learn a bit more about the Octopus Army Corps:
We have obtained a photograph of one of the fighters in the Octopus Army Corps. They control a hovercraft-like vehicle using the end of their tentacle, while shooting ink from the nozzle. Their attacks are strong, but perhaps they are a little dim; when the hero hides in ink, for these soldiers, it is as though they suddenly disappeared.

Mario Pinball Land rated by the ESRB, likely releasing on the Wii U Virtual Console tomorrow

Update: I’m stupid! Nintendo confirmed last week that Mario Pinball Land will be releasing in North America tomorrow. This was included in the “Coming Soon” section of the most recent Nintendo Download report.
You know how these things work. The ESRB rates a classic GBA game for Wii U, and then Nintendo releases the title soon after in North America.
That’s probably what will be happening with Mario Pinball Land. The game just received its ESRB rating for Wii U, likely signaling its launch on the North American eShop tomorrow. We won’t know for sure until the official press release is published, but I’d say it’s pretty likely at this point!

Crash Tag Team Racing’s cancelled DS entry – images and details
Posted on 10 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in DS, News | 1 Comment
Crash Tag Team Racing was in the works for the DS back in 2005. Sensory Sweep was working on the project, which was intended to be as similar to the console versions as possible.
While Radical Entertainment provided Sensory Sweep with character models, the main artist decided to create his own models and textures from scratch. This is because characters would have looked boxy given how they would need to be reduced from thousands of polygons to a few hundred. Sensory Sweep also aimed to create tracks and their layouts based on the other versions.
The exact reasons behind Crash Tag Team Racing’s cancellation on DS are somewhat unclear. Even though only one or two months of development were required before completion, Sensory Sweep was apparently told by the publisher that the portable release would be cancelled as there were concerns about sales due to the imminent launch of Mario Kart DS. Questions have also been raised about Sensory Sweep’s management.
Crash Mania posted up some images of Crash Tag Team Racing for DS. You can find them above.
