Kingdoms of Amalur Re-Reckoning Fatesworn delayed 2023

The Fatesworn expansion for Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning came out around this time on most platforms last year, but when we last heard about it for Switch, the new content was planned for 2022. However, there hasn’t been much in the way of news over the past few months. With only a few days left in the year, perhaps it’s unsurprising to state that the Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning Fatesworn expansion has been delayed to 2023 on Switch.

That news comes from the official Twitter account. While it’s a bit of a disappointment, THQ Nordic did clarify that the expansion is “almsot done” for Nintendo’s console. We don’t have any sort of date, but it’s apparently coming soon – so an early 2023 launch isn’t out of the question.

Cygames has shared details about the next big Little Noah: Scion of Paradise update, including the ability to play as Zipper.

As most players know, Zipper is Noah’s cat companion. While we don’t have all of the details yet, the character will be playable after completing the game. The developers have also said that you’ll get to hear more from Noah while exploring the ruins.

Inazuma Eleven: Great Road of Heroes systems

Level-5 is still hard at work on the next Inazuma Eleven game – now known as Inazuma Eleven: Great Road of Heroes – after many years of development. Today, the company provided a new status report on the project. This follows the last update in July.

The game system, world view, story, and more have now been solidified. Level-5 intends to release information in stages from here.

We have not one, but two new character introductions for Fire Emblem Engage today with Nintendo and Intelligent Systems showing off Sommie and Panette. Credit goes to the official Japanese Twitter account with SatsumaFS sharing translations.

Sommie we have less information on. This is merely said to be a mysterious creature named Sommie that has lived in Somniel since the olden days. If you take good care of it, something good may happen.

Gunvein

NGDEV, the developer of Razion EX and Gunlord X, just recently released its new shoot ’em up game Gunvein that’s inspired by arcade titles from Cave, Taito, and Raizing/8ing. We know that a Switch version is planned, and will likely be debuting in 2023.

Gunvein provides a dynamic bullet hell experience. Players will need to use the lock-on and charged energy blast mechanics to take down enemies. Additionally, there are ways to power up your shot and bombs can be used to clear out the screen. Increasing your score will provide extra lives and currency for the in-game shop.

Switch hardware refresh Digital Foundry

Rumors of a more powerful Switch – often dubbed by fans as the Switch Pro – have persisted for years. The thought was that Nintendo would come out with a new piece of hardware that isn’t quite a successor, but would be a step up  from what we have now. Presumably this theoretical device would allow for things such as technical improvements when it comes to aspects like frame rate and resolution and perhaps even better visuals.

Digital Foundry’s John Linneman has now weighed in on the situation in the outlet’s latest podcast. After speaking with some developers, he believes Nintendo was at once point toying around with a Switch hardware refresh. However, “that seems to no longer be happening” and the company is apparently pursuing a true successor instead.
