3DS themes are all the rage these days, and Bandai Namco is preparing one for Ace Combat 3D: Cross Rumble +. It will be available to those who pre-order the updated 3DS game. You can find a photo of the theme above.

Following the re-announcement of Rodea: The Sky Soldier earlier this week, Kadokawa Games has refreshed the website for Rodea: The Sky Soldier. Access the page Access the new site here. There’s not much to see currently, but expect the site to be updated with plenty of content going forward.

Tales of the Abyss will finally be making its way to the Japanese 3DS eShop next month. Today, Bandai Namco announced that the digital version will arrive on December 3 for 2,980 yen.

A special Tales of the Abyss 3DS theme is also in the works. It will normally be priced at 100 yen, but those who purchase the game from the eShop through January 4 can receive it for free.

Nintendo has released another round of 3DS themes in North America and Europe. None are tied to a particular game, and feature simple designs like polka dots and stars. Each theme is priced at $0.99.

Nintendo has issued a response to this month’s NPD report.

The highlight this month is Super Smash Bros. 3DS, which has sold 1.2 million combined physical and digital units. Thanks to a strong October, the game moved 485,000 copies and is the best-selling handheld title of the year. Smash Bros. 3DS is now the tenth 3DS game to sell at least one million units in the U.S.

Nintendo also mentioned Wii U in its statement. Thus far in 2014, hardware and software sales have increased by 47 percent and 84 percent respectively.
