France: Lifetime Wii U and 3DS sales and more

Thanks to Le Figaro, new sales figures are in from France. Lifetime 3DS sales are now at 4 million while Wii U is at 742,000. In 2015, Nintendo’s portable moved 686,000 units, and Wii U sold another 228,000 consoles.
LeFigaro also posted a listing of the top 10 best-selling games in France during 2015. Splatoon and three 3DS titles made the chart.

Puzzle & Dragons X details, screenshots, art

GungHo Online Entertainment has published a new round of details, screenshots, and art for Puzzle & Dragons X. Find some screenshots and details (courtesy of Siliconera) below.
– Puzzle system is the same as Puzzle & Dragons Z
– New game system and characters
– More RPG elements where you walk around and explore dungeons
– Dungeons have random encounters
– The protagonist will fight alongside the monsters for the puzzle battles
– This is different from the previous game
– Switch to the “Capture Board” during battle in order to acquire material for your “Soul Armor” by defeating enemies after filling up a monster’s “Capture Gauge”
– Soul Armors: equipment with the allied monsters’ power in it
– This can be equipped by the protagonist
– Soul Armors can change the protagonist’s appearances
– Also have its own Leader Skills
– Soul Armors are made with different material
– Made at the “Soul Armor Store” in town
– The protagonist’s partner Tamazo will help out throughout the adventure
– Tamazo has the power to transform into other monsters and use their abilities
Ganbarion is making Dragon Ball: Project Fusion

Bandai Namco is publishing Dragon Ball: Project Fusion. However, another company is actually developing the game.
A new blog post reveals that Ganbarion is working on Dragon Ball: Project Fusion. You may know the studio for Pandora’s Tower and One Piece games such as One Piece: Unlimited World RED and the One Piece: Unlimited series.

Wolf Link amiibo unlocks enhanced weapons for Midna in Hyrule Warriors Legends

Twilight Princess HD isn’t the only Zelda-related game that provides unique functionality when using the Wolf Link amiibo. If you scan the figure in the new 3DS game, players can unlock enhanced weapons for Midna. It’s a neat little bonus that I don’t believe we heard about previously!

Hyrule Warriors Legends bumped up a day early in Europe

Hyrule Warriors Legends has a new release date in Europe, although it’s only a very minor change. The game is being brought one day forward to March 24. This is due to Good Friday taking place the very next day.
Nintendo posted the news on Twitter a couple of minutes ago, writing:

Koei Tecmo published the 5th and final official gameplay video of Hyrule Warriors Legends today. Once again, this features producer Yosuke Hayashi and voice actress Ruriko Aoki playing the game.
Dragon Ball: Project Fusion teaser website open

Bandai Namco have opened up for the teaser website for the recently announced 3DS game Dragon Ball: Project Fusion. You can find it here.
Don’t expect too much though – it really is just a teaser at the moment. Virtually the only thing of interest is the image above, which shows off the game’s art style and some of the characters.

On March 24th, Japan will be receiving the latest batch of amiibo content. Cap’n, Summer Isabelle, Timmy & Tommy and Rover amiibo will be available for purchase, along with the 4th series of Animal Crossing amiibo cards. Summer Isabelle will also be available as a pack-in with Happy Home Designer for 5400 yen.
