A new month rolled right on in yesterday. Now that we’re in October, we want to know what you’ve been playing.
A ton of notable games have made their way to Switch over the past few weeks. WarioWare: Get It Together!, Cruis’n Blast, Eastward, Ni no Kuni II, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, Melty Blood: Type Lumina, Astria Ascending, and Hot Wheels Unleashed are some of the highlights. We’ve even had shadowdrops with the likes of Castlevania Advance Collection.

[Let’s Talk] September 2021 Nintendo Direct reactions

Nintendo dropped a doozy of a Nintendo Direct for September 2021 on us this week, and now we want to hear your reaction. We saw new announcements, updates on previously-known titles, shadowdrops, and more.
From Nintendo, highlights include the reveal of Kirby and the Forgotten Land, the first look at Bayonetta 3, a new Splatoon 3 trailer, and N64 / SEGA Genesis games for Nintendo Switch Online. A ton of third-party games were on hand as well, including the Sunbreak expansion for Monster Hunter Rise, Voice of Cards: The Isle Dragon Roars, Chocobo GP, Dying Light 2 – Cloud Version, and a port of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. Castlevania Advance Collection and Actraiser Renaissance acted as notable shadowdrops.

[Let’s Talk] Xenoblade Chronicles 3 hopes and dreams

You don’t need to hear from us that Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is almost certainly happening. The series has only increased in popularity over the past few years, and the first two games have done quite well on Switch. But if that wasn’t enough, a report came out last month that Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is in its final stages of development and could launch as early as the first half of 2022.
We know almost nothing about the game aside from a few unconfirmed tidbits from last month’s rumor, so right now’s our chance to dream. What do you personally hope to see in Xenoblade Chronicles 3? Let us know in the comments below.

There’s no question that No More Heroes 3 has been a major highlight for Switch having released last Friday. Other notable August games include Shadowverse: Champion’s Battle, Axiom Verge 2, Slime Rancher, Quake, and Spelunky 1 and 2. Have you picked up any of these games? [Let’s Talk] Which classic system should be added to Nintendo Switch Online next?

If there was ever a time for a new library of games to join Nintendo Switch Online, it would probably be right around now, so something like Game Boy could make sense. No new NES games were added during the latest update in July. Furthermore, Nintendo seems to be running low on heavy hitters for SNES titles. So what could be next?
N64 followed the SNES in terms of Nintendo generations, but it’s not exactly a lock for Switch Online. Nintendo has shown more interest in remaking and individually re-releasing N64 titles such as Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, Star Fox 64 3D, and Super Mario 64’s inclusion in Super Mario 3D All-Stars on Switch. Game Boy and Game Boy Color could be possible for Nintendo Switch Online. Or what if those systems were skipped over for the GBA?

[Let’s Talk] August 2021 Pokemon Presents reaction

After last week’s Indie World Showcase, another Nintendo-related presentation took place this week with Pokemon Presents. There were no brand new game announcements, but we pretty much knew that was going to happen going in. However, we did get a look at some big upcoming Switch games.
Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl took up a good chunk of the broadcast complete with a new trailer and gameplay. Pokemon Super Contests are back as Super Contest Shows, players can socialize with others around the world in the Union Room, and it’ll be possible to customize the gameplay experience with Capsule Decoration.
Pokemon Legends: Arceus closed things out with a lengthy trailer and overview. Gameplay information was shared and new creatures were revealed: Wyrdeer, Basculegion, Hisuian Braviary, and Hisuian Growlithe.
Other games were covered as well such as Pokemon Unite and Pokemon Cafe Remix. We have the full recap here.

[Let’s Talk] August 2021 Indie World Showcase reactions

This week’s Indie World Showcase was pretty darn packed with new games for Switch. There were brand new titles, ports, and plenty of new experiences to try out that same day.
Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, Eastward, TOEM, Shovel Knight: Pocket Dungeon, Metal Slug Tactics, Tetris Effect: Connected, FAR: Changing Tides, Loop Hero, Hundred Days: Winemaking Simulator, Gang Beasts, Astroneer, and LumbearJack were all featured. Axiom Verge 2, Boyfriend Dungeon, Necrobarista: Final Pour, Islanders, Garden Story, Slime Rancher: Plortable Edition, and Curious Expedition 2 all came out on Wednesday. Nintendo doesn’t have a whole lot planned for Zelda’s 35th anniversary, but 2021 does include one notable release. Skyward Sword HD, which first released on Wii in 2011, has returned on Switch. Nintendo has made some additions and changes like button controls, an enhanced frame rate, optional help from Fi, and even camera controls.
It’s only been out for a bit, but we imagine that many of you picked up Zelda: Skyward Sword HD this weekend, especially since it’s a high-profile Switch release. If you’ve given it a go, what are your thoughts so far? Let us know in the comments below.

There have plenty of new Switch games as of late, especially within the last week or two. New releases include Mario Golf: Super Rush, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2, Legend of Mana, Disgaea 6, Destroy All Humans!, Sky: Children of the Light, and Doki Doki Literature Club Plus.
