Pokemon and Thanksgiving practically go hand in hand. That’s because Pikachu has a longstanding tradition of appearing in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

You’ll be happy to know that it will once again be happening this year. Pikachu is returning for the 17th consecutive time in the parade. For those who can’t make it to Manhattan, you should be able to see Pikachu on NBC sometime between 9 AM and noon on November 23.

Two new rewards have been added to My Nintendo in North America. Both are themed around the holidays.

First, a 3DS theme is available that features Mario in a festive cap, as well as some snowmen that should look very familiar. You can also obtain a wallpaper for your PC, mobile device, or tablet. The rewards cost 100 Platinum Points and 50 Platinum Points respectively.

You can order these rewards on My Nintendo here.

It’s been some time since we last saw the Zelda amiibo from the Super Smash Bros. line. The figure is back once again, though strangely, it’s a Walmart exclusive. If you’re interested, you can order it here.

It’s that time as Nintendo has officially ended Miiverse’s services on 3DS & Wii U. As of now if you try to connect to Miiverse, you will get a server error saying that the service has ended.

The homepage for the official Miiverse website shows this image below basically saying the same thing about the end of Miiverse and also information about how your downloadable post history will be sent to your email if you sent a request.

As of right now, Nintendo has no plans for a new social media service on the Switch to replace Miiverse but these last 5 years of Miiverse were something special. Thank you Miiverse and goodbye.
