Super NES Classic Edition features a secret home menu shortcut and soft reset trick

The Super NES Classic Edition has a couple of hidden features worth knowing about. One lets you access the home menu whereas the other lets you reset the game you’re playing.
If you have a Wii Classic Controller, you can plug that right into the SNES Classic Edition. Then you only need to press the relevant button to return to the home menu.
As for one thing that doesn’t require any separate controllers, you can reset any of the games included on the SNES Classic Edition. Just hold the “L”, “R”, “select”, and “start” buttons for a second or two. That will easily let you reset the game.

SNES Classic controller is compatible with the NES Classic (and vise versa)
Posted on 7 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, News | 18 Comments
The NES Classic Edition and Super NES Classic Edition are two different pieces of hardware, but they aren’t entirely separate. You might be interested to hear that both controllers can be used with either system. That means the SNES Classic controller works with the NES Classic (and vice versa).
One thing to keep in mind is that the NES controller lacks a number of buttons necessary for SNES games. You shouldn’t have any problems using the SNES controller with the NES Classic Edition, however.
