Square Enix has initiated a new “March Mayhem Sale” on its online store. Consumers can save 20% on one game, 30% on two games, or 50% on three+ games.

This offer is valid through March 30. You can find a listing of all eligible titles here.

Remember how Nintendo was giving out a special jersey as part of a Nintendo TVii contest during the Super Bowl? Now something similar is being done for March Madness.

The Year of Luigi is no more. It officially ended on on March 18, and Shigeru Miyamoto closed out the festivities with one final message. You can find it in full below.

Now that he’s left Konami, Koji Igarashi has the freedom to work on pretty much anything. Igarashi does already have a few new ideas in mind, but given his background with Castlevania, it could be neat to see him involved with a Metroid title. And interestingly enough, that’s something Igarashi “would love” to do.

IGN asked Igarashi point blank if he’d ever consider working with Nintendo on a new entry in the Metroid franchise. He said:

“Whether it’s possible or not comes down to the [intellectual property] holder, which in this case would be Nintendo, and whether they want to work with me. But, if they did want to work with me, I would love the chance of doing that.”

Marvelous

Marvelous AQL is getting a small name change. Starting on July 1, the company will ditch its “AQL” portion and will simply be known as “Marvelous”. By doing so, the company hopes to strengthen its brand power.

A few Marvelous executives will be shifting roles on April 1. Those are as follows:

Haruki Nakayama – president and CEO (currently executive chairman)
Kyoda Shuichi – president and operating officer COO (currently president and operating officer)
Toshinori Aoki – executive vice president and operating officer department; holding on to executive vice president and operating officer, digital content general manager, and online content senior executive manager titles
