Takao Yamane on leaving Nintendo for PlatinumGames, Project G.G., more

We heard this week that Takao Yamane left Nintendo after spending nearly thirty years with the company for PlatinumGames. At the studio, he’s now the company’s new vice president.
Further details about Yamane joining PlatinumGames have now surfaced thanks to a new interview with Famitsu. We also get to hear a bit more about Project G.G. and more.

Labyrinth of Zangetsu debut trailer

Acquire has issued the first trailer for Labyrinth of Zangetsu, its Japanese-style 3D dungeon RPG.
The game was first announced in January 2021. However, it fell off the radar after that, with Acquire then providing an update on the project last month and reconfirming that it was still in the works. KaeruPanda is leading the way on development.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land dev on origins of Mouthful Mode

Shinya Kumazaki, the director of Kirby and the Forgotten Land, has spoken about the origins of Mouthful Mode in a recent issue of Japanese magazine Nintendo Dream.
Mouthful Mode lets Kirby transform into various objects for different types of gameplay experiences. After inhaling a car for instance, the character can drive around and smash through walls.
