Square Enix hosting December 2021 Switch eShop sale

A new December 2021 Square Enix sale has started up on the Switch eShop, and it includes first discounts for games such as Actraiser Renaissance, Dungeon Encounters, Marvel’s Guardian’s of the Galaxy: Cloud Version, and Voice of Cards: The Isle Dragon Roars. Other classics are included as well with Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy, and Mana.

Sonic the Hedgehog Switch Split Pad Pro revealed

Another variation of HORI’s Split Pad Pro controller for Switch has been revealed – this time for Sonic the Hedgehog. It has two pieces of art for the Blue Blur on both sides of the controller and the back is completely dark blue.
There have been a few different designs going back to
the original Split Pad Pro with Daemon X Machina in 2019. Other variations include Pac-Man, Pokemon, and Monster Hunter. We also found out about a Mega Man version not too long ago.

Deathsmiles I & II gets release date in the west

Deathsmiles I & II now has a release date in the west. The title just recently landed in Japan, as it was made available on December 16. As for North America and Europe, the Switch eShop shows a release date of December 30.

Nintendo Minute is ending

After the show started it 2013 and more than 400 episodes later, Nintendo Minute is coming to an end. Hosts Kit and Krysta announced the news today in one final video. This marks not only the last episode of 2021, but for the show as a whole.
You can watch the latest – and very last – Nintendo Minute below. It largely serves as a look back at various episodes over the years, but Kit and Krysta share a few words as well.

Super UFO Fighter delayed to Q1 2022

Super UFO Fighter, the head-to-head party action game from publisher Phoenixx and developer VV-LABO, has been delayed. The two sides have confirmed that the title will now release sometime in Q1 2022.
Super UFO Fighter only just received a January 13, 2022 release date about a month ago. However, the project was pushed back “due to unforeseen circumstances”. Further information was not provided.

My Nintendo is offering a special promotion for select first-party games on the Switch eShop, as consumers can earn double the Gold Points. Buyers can earn up to 10 percent in Gold Points that can be used on a digital game or DLC.

Skul: The Hero Slayer getting a physical release on Switch

The action-platformer Skul: The Hero Slayer, which first appeared on Switch in October, has now been confirmed for physical release.
Merge Games is teaming up with Neowiz and SouthPAW Games to bring the action-platformer to retail. Along with a standard version, a Signature Edition is planned. The latter version has special goodies including a soundtrack CD, art card, keychain, and enamel pins. All copies of both the standard and Signature Edition come with a booklet and digital soundtrack code.
