Stonefly, the upcoming action-adventure game for Switch, has received a new behind the scenes video from MWM Interactive and Flight School Studio. Creative director Adam Volker shares more about heroine Annika, the Acorn Corps, and the game’s creatures.

The Colonists

Auroch Digital and Mode 7 have set a final release date for The Colonists, their recently-announced settlement building game. It’ll be out digitally for Switch on May 4.

Original: According to Nintendo’s website, the Switch eShop is currently experiencing emergency maintenance. The store has been down since approximately 2:40 AM PT / 5:40 AM ET / 10:40 AM in the UK / 11:40 AM in Europe.

Anyone who attempts to access the Switch eShop will be unable to do so at this time. Unfortunately, Nintendo doesn’t say when service will be restored. We’ll keep you posted.

Star Wars: Republic Commando

Aspyr has shared a new launch trailer for Star Wars: Republic Commando to go with its release today. Check it out below.

Star Wars: Republic Commando arrives today on the Switch eShop, and a physical release is planned for the future.

Build-A-Bear is teaming up with Nintendo to produce new plushies based on Animal Crossing: New Horizons. At least initially, fans will be able to get their hands on two products featuring Tom Nook and Isabelle. Both have options for either phrases or music.

Animal Crossing fans can expect the initial Build-A-Bear orders to ship this summer. Build-A-Bear is taking orders starting today, though due to high demand, visitors are being placed in a waiting room. They’re priced at $51 each.

Modus Games and Sketchbook Games have unveiled a launch trailer for Lost Words: Beyond the Page, their atmospheric narrative adventure. Check it out below.

Original: It’s been announced that E3 2021 is set to return following a year-long absence. Several companies have confirmed their intent to attend, including Nintendo, Xbox, Capcom, Konami, Ubisoft, Take-Two, Warner Bros and Koch Media. However, it appears that Sony, EA, Activision Blizzard, SEGA, Bandai Namco, and Square Enix will not be involved – at least as things stand now.

The ESA has yet to share full details about this year’s E3. It does note that developers will be “showcasing their latest news and games directly to fans around the world”. The ESA will be working with media to “amplify and make this content available to everyone for free”.
