New Octopath Traveler project announced for iOS and Android

Update: Full title of the new Octopath Traveler project on IOS and Android is “Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent”. An official Japanese website is now open, offering pre-registration for the game.
Original: In a surprise, sudden announcement, Square Enix has confirmed that a new Octopath Traveler project is in the works for iOS and Android — and even provided a first trailer.
While initial details are slim, the game is confirmed to remain single-player focused. However, some early translations are reporting that the mobile title is not a port of the Switch title. In fact, it sounds as if the game will feature proper stories for all 8 characters and more contend may be added after launch.
Additionally, the game is stated to take place before the events of Octopath Traveler on Switch, with movement resembling more of an “on rails” game with swipe motions for movement.

Devil May Cry 5 director says the game might be considered for Switch if Dragon’s Dogma sells well
Posted on 6 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch | 0 comments
The key to getting Devil May Cry 5 on Switch may lie with the performance of another Capcom title. The latest news comes from director Hideaki Itsuno, who left the door open to a port while speaking with German magazine M! Games.
When asked why Devil May Cry 5 isn’t on Switch, Itsuno explained that development started before the team had dev kits. Capcom therefore concentrated on releasing the game for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. However, Itsuno added that if Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen sells well, they might consider porting Devil May Cry 5 to Nintendo’s console.
Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen launches for Switch on April 23. It’s the first time this title will be appearing on a Nintendo system.

Unannounced and unreleased NES game UWC emerges 30 years later

YouTuber Stephan Reese (Archon 1981) has acquired a previously unannounced and unknown NES game. UWC, a wrestling title, was created by the defunct Japanese developer SETA. The game’s title screen shows a 1989 date, so this one has been kept in the shadows for three decades.
How did Reese manage to get his hands on the game? He actually just bought it off a former Nintendo employee – and that’s mostly it. This staffer was assigned to test UWC because he was a wrestling fan.
You can see what UWC looks like in the video below. Reese will be dumping the ROM online as well so other people can try it out for themselves.
